Just wondering what cream you are using on your belly to prevent stretch marks. Last pregnancy I used Tummy Honey Stretch by Bella B but was told today that it has caffeine in it. I don't drink much caffeine but it had me wondering. What are you using? Anyone heard of mama mio?
Re: stretch mark cream
That's what I'm using, both in body lotion and tummy butter version. Why wouldn't it be good?

This.... it IS genetic. The cream relieves itching of the skin, stretch marks actually occur just beneath the surface of the skin, so lotion could not prevent that. Luckily after you have the baby and give it some time, some of the marks do fade..
Right. However, my skin is really dry so I chose to use all kinds of cocoa butter products and I am loving it. Plus Palmers is really inexpensive.
What I wonder about though is why cocoa butter is not safe in pregnancy. Seems like everyone is using it AND they have pregnancy specific products.
Caffeine is a common ingredient in anti-cellulite treatments or under eye treatments. It has a temporary anti-inflammatory effect. Topical applications of caffeine are harmless and there's no reason to avoid them during pregnancy. It's not going to cause the same effect that drinking caffeine would.
Personally, I am using Jason vitamin E cream. It's cheap, simple, and it absorbs well. I know it's not going to prevent stretch marks, but it makes my skin feel less itchy.
