Pregnant after a Loss

Pregnant immediately after Chemical Pregnancy and Anxious!

I'm so glad I found this board. I don't really have anyone to chat about this with. I had a chemical pregnancy June 13th. The last several days I was feeling really tired and felt pregnant. I decided to take a HPT yesterday to put my mind at ease, ha. Much to my surprise the HPT was positive. I went to lab today for an HCG count and will have another count done on Sunday. In the meantime I have such mixed emotions. I want to be excited about a positive HPT, but I just can't allow myself to be excited. I keep thinking that I'll feel better after I see that HCG levels are increasing as they should, but I'm pretty sure I'll still be anxious that I'll MC again. We have been trying for 6 months now. We have a beautiful daughter that will be 2 later this month. She is definitely my bright point and keeps me smiling. We were so blessed with her...we got pregnant with her as soon as we started trying. I guess this is why the chemical pregnancy really took me by complete surprise. None of the women in my family have had a MC nor have they had to ttc for more than a couple months. I'm so glad to have this forum to vent and learn from! Thanks for listening!

Congratulations. Our favorite mantra around here is 'today I'm pregnant.' We can all sympathize with the fears. Try to remind yourself that today your pregnant, and if that changes later you'll deal with it then.
  • Try not to worry! Easier said than done but stay positive! T&P for this to be your sticky bean!

  • Thank you for the support and well wishes! ***UPDATE*** We don't know when I ovulated, but we're guessing based on mild ovulation cramps that I noted on my tracker. My levels approx 10dpo: HCG 78 and Prog 14.5. I'm still waiting for the HCG levels for 12dpo. Hopefully I'll know today. I feel completely different this time around and I'm hoping its a good sign. I do wonder if my progesterone is low. My Dr seems to think its fine, that it's only a concern if very high or very low and I'm in the middle. We shall see...fingers & toes crossed!
  • Congrats!
