3 month hormonal migraine anyone?

As I'm sitting here with the residuals of a migraine from yesterday and last night, I'm realizing that I had a migraine around the same time pp with my first two. I knew that I started losing hair and weight at the 3 month mark, but didn't think about the migraine timing. Not fun, but something to prepare for the next time around.

Re: 3 month hormonal migraine anyone?

  • I'm a FTM & I've had a migraine, going on day 3 now. I haven't noticed hair or weight loss but DD is 3 months today!

  • Been having terrible headaches lately. I'm assuming it hormones.

Omg I didn't know that was a thing! I had migraines pp but not during pregnancy and have felt them coming on but not a full blown migraine yet. I've had a few dizzy spells the past few days too.
  • I had a terrible headache today! Didn't know this was a thing either and come to think of it I lost 3 lbs this week after no weight loss since week 2!!! What does this mean? Hormones readjusting? My body odor is still unreal... :(

  • I'm with all of you!! I didn't know this was a thing!! I've had a ridiculous headache on and off all week and my daughter is 3M tomorrow. Wow. I just though the sleep deprivation was finally getting to me.
  • Yup headache but not a migraine. DS is 3 months old. No fun.

  • Let me clarify, I don't think it's particularly "a thing," but many headaches are brought on by hormonal changes, which is clearly what's going on for me. After seeing the responses, apparently it should be a 3 month thing.

Wether it is or isn't a "thing", migraines PP were so terrible for me, I was terrified how much worse they'd be during pregnancy. To my surprise, I had not one, but all hell broke loose after giving birth. They've been so bad! I'm definitely excited for weight loss, not so much hair loss coming from someone who always had a full head of hair. I guess we'll see! :)

Edited because my "smartphone" obviously isn't so smart. :-L
  • Yep, same. Migraines pre pregnancy, none during pregnancy, and then back with a vengeance around my first pp period. Dangit, hormones. Get your poop in a group.
  • I guess this would explain my random weightloss last week.

I've been averaging about 1 pound per week (stopped counting Cals when vin has trouble gaining weight) and then randomly lost a few pounds in one week. I was wondering what the deal was!

  • I usually never get headaches but these past three days I've been getting the same reoccurring mid brain headache. I also thought it was sleep deprivation getting to me. I got my first pp period three days ago too and I am bleeding 1 million times heavier than before I got pregnant.... I'm hoping this is only a PP "thing" and not my new norm. Also anyone try tampons yet... they hurt so bad I'm wearing pads like I'm in Jr. High school again. (I had a c-section.. so a little confusing)
