Kids Sharing a Room?

So it has always been our plan that at some point the boys will share a room. Right now DS2 is in our room in a RnP. But I'd really like to get him transitioned out if that and into his crib before too much longer. My concern is that DS1 (who thinks the baby is cool) will crawl into the crib and hurt him. He has crawled into the crib with the baby during the day and moved him around, so I'm sure that something similar will happen once he's in there all the time. 

Any advice or encouragement from moms who have done this before would be appreciated.

    DD and DS (4) share a room. DS have never tried to climb into the crib, how old is DS1? Just have to make it very clear that it is not acceptable. Wouldn't even let him do it when you are around or the baby isn't in it. Crib is off limits. Period.

    Exactly this, down to the ages and sexes, even! We started telling kiddo he could NEVER climb in the crib when I was still pregnant. Despite the fact that he's a very impulsive child who loves to climb, he has never even attempted it.

    Still... we will invest in a video camera very soon to monitor what goes on. And we're looking to move within the next year or two.

    In a few months we'll be moving LO in with DS1 so we'll be in the same boat. We plan on getting a video monitor with 2 cameras. DS1 (2 yo) has never successfully climbed into the crib, so I'm hoping he doesn't start.

    They don't share a room, but my 3 year old learned not to climb the crib while I was still pregnant. It hasn't been an issue because if that.

    My boys will eventually share but I'm in no rush. DS2 is such a good sleeper I love having him in my room and we bed share at least part of the night for nursing. I'll probably transition him in with DS1 around a year.

    Could you just put the crib in your room for awhile? Until he's a little sturdier?

    When the time comes we will definitely be getting a video monitor!

    DS1 is 2 and he loves to climb onto anything. He doesn't climb into the crib normally (anymore) but if there is something he wants in it he is willing to climb in there! Sadly our room is too small for the crib to be moved in there. I was hoping, but the measuring tape doesn't lie.  :((  We have been looking into a video monitor so we can at least see if he is messing with the baby.

    Could you do a PNP in your room? You said the crib doesnt fit maybe that would. dd was in our room in the rnp and I am not ready for her to be in her room, so we transitioned her into the pnp still in our room to get her used to the flat surface.
