SAME THING HERE!!!!! I was perfectly fine, and it just hit me. This last week has sucked! I can't sleep because it hurts so bad. I can definitely feel that this baby is much lower than my last though.
It hasn't hit me yet but I remember it came pretty suddenly with my first pregnancy. Putting feet up, chiro, and a good massage were the best things for it.

Do you have a pool near by? My condo has a pool and I've been here everyday this week (bumping from the pool right now!) I lean over a raft and float around... It takes so my pressure off my back and abdomen! I can definitely notice a difference when I don't go for a few days!
I'm in the same situation- I actually had no back pain with my first and developed lower back issues when my son was 9ish months. I've been trying to do prenatal yoga (there are some great, short videos on YouTube). I'm also trying to walk and stay as active as possible. I have a support belt to help pull my hips together and I wear it whenever I think I'll be more active than usual. I plan to see a webster certified chiro soon and am hoping that this will help, too. Finally, I have going back to PT on my midwife's radar b/c I found that it really helped ease my pain when my back problems started after my first.
Same! Woke up yesterday and could barely walk. Went and got one of those maternity support bands- which already has helped. Also exactly what @jlz32185 said about the pool. I told DH last night I would sleep on a raft if I could.
I wish I had a pool! I live in NYC--pools are hard to come by. I'd look into a band, but I think it would just make me so uncomfortably hot with all the walking I have to do. I just signed up for 10 pre-natal yoga classes--hopefully that will help.
The same thing hit me a couple of weeks ago. The maternity support band (as others have mentioned) seems to help. I don't know if it does much physically but it reminds me to correct my posture when I am standing all day for work. I am also putting a small pillow under my bump at night in addition to my maternity pillow. I noticed that as my belly has gotten bigger the weight is pulling me forward and twisting my spine slightly when I sleep on my side. Not much but just enough to cause agonizing back pain a few hours into the night...
