Trouble TTC

Waiting, waiting... w a i t i n g

The 2WW is the worst. #amiright

What do you guys do to take your mind off things? Usually there's at least a good TV show I can get into or binge watch, but I feel like there's nothing on right now since it's the summer.

What are you guys into? Any good blogs you read? Books you'd recommend? Fun facts you'd like to share about yourselves? :)

Re: Waiting, waiting... w a i t i n g

  • So you think you can dance is on during the summer on Wednesdays. I just read the Rosie Project, which was cute. It would make a good rom com if they turned it into a movie.

    Official diagnosis: Unexplained IF. I am 32. I have low ovarian reserve (low AMH), and poor egg quality. I've also been diagnosed with mild glandular developmental arrest (lining problems, detected with EFT).

    We are using open ID donor sperm. IUIs #1-7=BFN. IVF September 2014 antagonist protocol, 8R,5M,3F, 5 day transfer of 1 morula = BFN. IVF#2 planned for January 2015 (antagonist protocol + HGH).

  • @NariaDreaming I should start gardening. Last year started a potted herb garden on our back patio that I *kinda* killed. The pots are still sitting there with dead, dried up plants in there. Me and DH lovingly refer to it as "The Tim Burton Garden" because it looks like a scene straight out of Beetlejuice.

    @Ketchup Don't we all!

    @Rumbera28 I'm totally with you on the heavy blanket. (I just crank the A/C up. Totally wasteful and ridiculous, I know.) And cheese ... I LOVE cheese. I both dread and look forward the day when I have to limit my consumption of soft cheeses.

    @emmuffy I watch SYTYCD too. I haven't been that crazy about this season thus far though. Not that it's going to stop me from continuing to watch it!

  • The only good thing about being on BCP through August is that there will be no more TWWs (or AFs) this summer!

    To pass time, I usually watch old shows on Amazon Prime, garden if it's not too sunny (5-minute sunburner here), or get myself engrossed in a good classic novel (why is it always so hard to go start a new book? once it starts I can't put it down!).

    I totally feel for your Tim Burton garden. In college, I left my Halloween pumpkin on the porch shared with my roommate until it rotten and encrusted itself to the concrete and her DH had to scrape it off with a shovel and scrub brush so we could get our security deposit. She never lets me live that one down.

    Fun fact - (kind of a sad fact, but...) - my dream in life is to be a homeschooling mom, and once in a while when the right IF-friendly mood strikes I spend hours planning, researching, fanasizing, schedules and field trips and curriculum and how to make sure our future kids fully embody their Chinese heritage.
