Hi all!
My dh and I found out almost 2 months ago that we're having mono/di twins. I'm 16 wks now, due on Christmas. This is my first pregnancy and it was such a shock to find out there's two! My dh was so rattled he left the keurig going at work and walked away, u/s pics and coffee cup in hand the next day! We're both extremely excited but I have so many questions and concerns too. I just want these little lives to be healthy!
For those of you with mono/di twins, how closely were you monitored? I've started twice a month u/s now and see a perinatologist in addition to an ob.
Also, if there are any fellow teachers on the board (I teach middle school), how did you handle the later months?
Thanks for any advice, I know I'll be wondering how this twin adventure works and appreciate the vibe I have gotten from lurking a bit.
Re: New here-mono/di twins
I'm glad to hear my routine is the norm, I want these little babies to get the absolute best care.
To the other teachers/school workers, thanks for the tips. I'll definitely build in some good routines the first month or so that will allow my students to be independent.
I was a teacher too, but I didn't make it past 25 weeks teaching b/c of a PTL scare. Many other teachers last much longer, though. If you do, definitely make resting throughout the day a priority! GL!
