Where did you mount your monitor

We are just moving LO to the crib, so we are just mounting the monitor. The best place is on the wall--- but, it's so ugly! The wire will run up the wall and then we have to pull the crib away from the wall so he can't get the cord. It just looks terrible! Where did you mount yours?

We tried it on the shelf next to the crib, and the view was too obstructed by the rails.

Obviously, I'll get over the ugly factor and do what's best to keep baby safe, but thought you ladies may have some tips.

Ours is on the wall, and like others have said we used a paintable cord cover. You hardly notice it.

We have a ceiling mount unit, but it bugs the crap out of me that the cord hangs down the wall. FWP.

We have ours on the wall, way up near the ceiling. We ran the cord behind the curtains, which are full length. They hide the cord completely.

I really should take a picture because it's so rigged. She's still in the pnp in our room but far enough away that I'm scared I won't hear her with the window a/c on. The pnp is pushed up against the wall with enough room for the monitor to rest between the pnp and the wall. I have a burp cloth between the monitor and the wall as a cushion because she loves to slam her legs on the bottom of the pnp at night and it bangs on the wall without the cushion. To keep the monitor from sliding off, I have one foam thing on each side stuck to the wall with tape. Ha. I didn't want to do anything permanent because she won't be in our room forever (or will she?

)
