Thanks ladies. I appreciate it.
@KateRN08 and @jesselayne8 - I did not use Clomid to get pregnant with J. Here's the situation - I have a diagnosis of unexplained subfertility. It took us three years to get pregnant with J. We went through all of the normal testing and everything (for both DH and I) came back normal, and yet I wasn't getting pregnant. I put off getting the Clomid at that time just for emotional reasons (if I kept it in my back pocket I felt like it was an option vs. taking it and not having it work meant one less option). I know that sounds crazy... At any rate, in Aug 2012 I went to the Dr. for my annual and got my prescription for Clomid. After 3 years I was ready (emotionally) to take the step. I didn't fill the prescription right away. Planned on filling it Day 1 so I'd be ready to go on Day 3. Day 1 never happened. I was already pregnant with DS and didn't know it.
DH and I have been trying for #2 since Feb with no luck. We have a short window of trying (DH is uncomfortable trying too much longer due to his age). So since I didn't get pregnant the past few months, I tried the Clomid. I'm really hoping it works. I don't usually have "signs" of ovulation, but definitely did on the Clomid for the first time, so I'm hopeful things will work out.
I have 4 rounds total. If I don't get pregnant during that, DH will likely get a Vasectomy and we will be a family of 3..
ETA: My initial diagnosis was unexplained infertility, which was switched to subfertility when I did end up conceiving J.

In a cycle, when you take Clomid for 5 days, you should be monitored at least once during those 5 days, and 3-4 more times during your cycle. B/w and u/s. And its only recommended that you do 3-4 cycles of Clomid in a lifetime.
21 day progesterone checks are rarely accurate because they assume that everyone ovulates on CD14.
I would just hate to see you not properly taken care of.
