December 2012 Moms

19 months going on 13.

Milla is mostly a very sweet, lovable, good girl. However, when she's pissed or doesn't like what you said, it's another story.

She's recently picked up on DS's 7 year old mannerisms. Today she was on the table, I told her to get down. She came back with "oh, come on! Moooommmmm!" In a perfect whiny tone. DS says that alllll the time. I tell him to pick up, do his reading, to eat healthy.... That's his reply. He usually listens, but has to get that in.

Then today we had a meltdown because I wouldn't let her take her new potty to bed. Seriously, they don't belong in cribs little girl.

DH thought a girl would be so much easier, now he claims she has my attitude ;) But she cuddles and loves kisses and is always saying I love you. It's just that once or twice a day toddler time.

Karma. I just know that's what my parents think,

  • you gave me a good giggle ... odd how it is so much funnier when it isn't at your house/ isn't your kid.

  • Isa's new favorite thing is shaking her head no when she doesn't want to do something.  Like, "Isa, it's time to go upstairs for a bath." "No."  The funny part is that she hasn't learned "Yes" yet, so if you ask her if she wants something, she doesn't have a good answer for you other than to point at it.

  • "No way!"  That little gem came home from daycare.   My favorite Sonja "no way" is when she is fake crying, waving one arm around in front of her and saddest-baby-in-the-world saying it.  She finally learned "yes" and life has gotten better.
