CD two? Toddler and baby.

I always planned to reuse my CDs for my second child, but they're on the way (due next Feb.) and I don't think my first will be PT anytime soon. What do others do when two are in diapers? Buy a whole new supply for baby #2? Wait and see if the first one PTs sooner than I thought? Do CD laundry a lot more often?

    I didn't cloth diaper my first from birth, so I ended up buying some newborn prefolds and covers.  Along with some pure and naturals (6).

    I split my stash between my daughter and son.  I had about 8 diapers that were smaller and didn't fit her right, so those went to my son.

    Depending on you're stash size, you can split it and/or buy some new.

    But you're washer isn't going to get any bigger, so you'll most likely have to wash more often anyway.

    I would wait until baby #2 is getting into OS diapers to make a decision about whether to buy more. By then you might have a better idea of whether #1 is closer to PT or even reducing the # of diapers per day, and how many you will need per day.

    It depends on how close they are.  If you have a newborn stash you could start the new baby in that and hope that your toddler is PTd before the baby needs OS.  Or you could buy a NB stash and sell it later.

    Mine are too close together for that.  I didn't cloth DD#2 until she fit into OS so I had to buy a NB stash for DD#3.  And since they are only 13 mo apart I had to buy a whole new second OS stash to.

    All why I get was fitted for my second child,and wait for my first to PT.now most of the day he is in underwear.

    DD and DS both were in dipes for about a month before DD PT'd. In a way I wish we'd tried PTing sooner, so I could have had a break from washing dipes for a bit, but the other half wanted to wait to PT bc I kinda love dipes. You guys get it! 

    Anyways, we didnt' start CDing DD until 13 mo or so, so we had to pick up some smaller dipes for DS. And I decided I loved AIOs way more than pockets (and I don't have time to stuff pockets now w 2 kids!) sooo I have a full stash of pockets and almost a full stash of AIOs. I think I should sell some pockets, but not ready yet. Working on selling off my fitteds from DD that I never really liked anyways.

    Thanks for the advice! My stash is on the small side... maybe I'll pick up a few if there are really good deals, but not go too crazy until we get to the point where LO#2 is in AIOs.

    I bought a few more diapers, but I didn't go crazy. You can only wash so many at once, so I might have to wash more often if I start having issues. I think I can wash double, but we will see. :)
