This woman is in labor in the car, dad is speeding at 95mph to the hospital and she gives birth at the door if the emergency room. Terrifying and amazing at the same time. Also-I would kill my DH if he filmed all of this while I was in such a panic.

  • I know! He isn't moving fast enough when they get to the hospital! He is too worried about the stupid phone and camera.

  • I am just hoping they were planning to be recording the birth anyways. One would hope since he had a go pro camera versus his smart phone.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one who would be pissed at my DH for this. Just the fact that he took time to set up or worry over the camera would be enough but then he ignores her cries to stop or go to a closer hospital and actually tells her to stop pushing. I'd have more sympathy if this was their first but this is the third time and she's a childbirth educator yet he still doesn't listen.
    Talk about a stressful night.

  • Lol I thought the same thing when I watched the video last night. I definitely would have smacked him a couple of times. My next thought was, "I hope the hospital doesn't charge her for delivery because she did all that work herself!" My last thought was, "Shit, I have to do this in a few months. I don't wanna do this!"

  • My guess is the GoPro was mounted on his head since you can clearly see two hands while he's filming so I don't think the speeding while filming would be an issue for me. Maybe I am just in a different boat with my thinking, but it made me cry, especially when she told him that she loved him.

  • It's definitely cool now that they have the video and it's over, but if that was me in her place, I would've been much more violent and not safe for TV lol. He even says, "I didn't believe you" about the baby coming out. LIsten to your wife, fool!

I agree completely.  What I took from it was that they planned to film it, camera was on dad's head.  I totally cried this morning, especially when she screamed "Catch him!".  Epitome of a mother's total concern for her child.

  • Considering I was telling my DH I between pushes to get the camera, I would be grateful to have the whole thing on video.

  • The news story says:

"According to Kristin, her husband filmed the births of their first two children, Turner, 4 and Tillman, 2, and loves to use his GoPro while biking and surfing so it seemed like second nature when he strapped the camera to his head for the birth of their third child."

If it was the norm in the relationship and all he had to do was strap it on his head and turn it on, it doesn't seem like it would've taken that much time away from getting to the hospital. I personally have no idea how I would feel in that situation though haha

  • Omg! This made me cry I don't know if it's the Hormones or if it's just that touching.
  • That left me with a few different feelings 1. Oh man, this is going to really hurt 2. Its amazing how quickly one goes from screaming your lungs out in pain to smiling and happy 3. Those poor guys didn't know what the hell to do when they pulled up!
