Suggestions for Bra for work??

I am 6 months pregnant and have to wear business casual to work at my office job. By 2/3 months pregnant, I couldn't fit in my bras... So I went to motherhood maternity and bought an underwire nursing bra in my previous size 34c as well as a bra extender. I also bought a sports bra type nursing bra as we'll at motherhood. I am now starting to outgrow the underwire bra - it is so tight it leaves indentations on my boobs. The nursing sports bra still fits but it shows my THO when I get one. I don't know what to do for the next 3 months at work... Should I just go to Victoria's Secret and get a bra a size or two up for the next 3 months at work? I didn't see too many other bra options at motherhood and I heard that the underwire isn't a good choice once your milk comes in... Any suggestions on bras for the next 3 months at work? Help!

Re: Suggestions for Bra for work??

  • I just went to Target and bought non nursing bras in bigger sizes. I measured myself at home so I had a close guess on what size and then tried on a few different sizes. They've worked out fine so far but people have warned me they might grow again before the 9 months are up

  • I'm a bigger bust girl... I went to addition ellle.. to buy a bra. Since they have bigger cup sizes for larger women. Even though I'm not a big everywhere it's nice to have a bra with room in the cup. Especially with the growing sizes etc.
I picked up 2 and it's very comfortable and I didnt have to spend so much, plus side they have sales all the time on bras! Nursing bras are a lot more expensive... I figure I would wait until I'm almost at my delivery date to pick up a nursing bra. This way I'm not spending too much on a bra that I may outgrow or wear out before actually using it for nursing. Might want to check that idea out.

This is what i did also, i measured and tried on bras and got the ones that had a little room, i am now fully in them! And i wear my nursing sleep bras a lot bc they are nice...

Also as far as underwire and milk, i have never heard that! I wore a 36dd/e while nursing and like the wire, i felt like my ladies were happy and never droopy!

Also my pp size is 36c so i am not a huge busted lady any way... Maybe thats why? But you seem to be smaller as well, so maybe this will work for you too! :)

    Luck!

Started TTC in 2006, LOTS of trying, and trying, and 7 rounds of IVF with 13 embryos, 2 perfect little boys and 5 loses....
All finished with babies, started to make diet changes, Keto, to be MORE for my kids, lost 30 pounds, still going, and 3 months in, I had a natural cycle, and then ovulated... Hubs and I are going to see what happens now... Maybe a natural pregnancy? After everything we have been through? Or just a return to normal hormones? We shall see what the future holds!

    Baby Dust To All!!!

  • Thanks for all the advice! I think I'll give in and get another underwire a few sizes up for the next couple months somewhere less expensive.
