This morning I took a pregnancy test, on a whim, because I am leaving for a 4 day trip to Texas to visit my best friend. I am only 10dpo and kept telling myself it would say negative, but low and behold, it was a BFP! I was honestly shocked and stared at it for like 10 minutes before calling my husband at work. I have to go in to get blood work with my RE tomorrow and again on Monday to be sure its the real deal (god I hope it is), but the whole thing seems unreal to me! I went to an appointment this morning, then promptly stopped at walmart to buy different brands of preganancy tests and took 3 more when I got home. They all have very faint positive lines too. I can't tell anyone yet, until I know its for sure, but OMG!!!!!!!

Re: Seems unreal (bfp mentioned)
I would suggest asking the part about waiting to tell on a board with women who are all pregnant; maybe a birth month board or one of the -trimester boards? I can only say hypothetically what I would do; many here haven't ever been pregnant.
- Success after IF ).
Like you said, there are quite a few people who have been pregnant before whether it went full term or not who could offer insight about letting the secret out. My only experience with a "postive" is an extremely early miscarriage so we didn't even have time to tell anyone but, like you, have discussed with my husband what we would do even far prior to having IF issues. I completely understand how difficult it is to think about waiting that long to share such exciting news..idk if i'll be able to stop myself from shouting it from the rooftops lol, especially after going through what we are now. I think it's a very personal decision so I won't give 'advice' but what we have decided is that we will tell our extremely close friends who have been in the know about everything (once confirmed by dr.) & then wait the 3mos to tell families and facebookland etc. Having been through if struggles with friends and now ourselves, I have already planned to announce once online & then start a blog or page for people to check if they want to see updates. That way I'm free to post as much, or little, about the pregnancy without throwing it in peoples faces.-----------------------------------SIGGY WARNING-------------------------------------

As far as telling people goes, I would tell close friends and family right away. Mostly because they know about our treatments and would ask anyway. I wouldn't tell other friends or people I work with until the 3 month mark. Everyone is different and it's a personal decision.
