Dialated kidney

Went for my 24 week check-up today and was told they would like to do another ultrasound in 4 weeks to see if her kidneys are the same size. Told me not to worry most likely everything is just fine but still concerned. Anyone else experience this?

I did with my first. Found out at 22 weeks both his kidneys were enlarged. Went to the internet and freaked myself completely out. It meant they did ultrasounds every month to check and once he was born they made sure he was peeing normally. By the time he was born everything had corrected itself. Sometimes all these ultrasounds just give us more to worry about. Try not to worry, I wish I wouldn't have. There's nothing they can really do until they're born and it usually resolves by then anyway.

My lo had it and it corrected itself by the time he was two. They noticed it again with this pregnancy, although it must not be as severe as lo's was because they kept me instead of sending me to the high-risk clinic (knock on wood), and I just have to get u/s every month to check.

I was told my baby has this at the a/s at 21 weeks. They are not checking again until week 30 but dr is not concerned. He said 90% of the time, the issue corrects itself before birth but they like to keep checking in case it doesn't.

I was told the same thing at my anatomy scan. They said it could be as simple as his bladder was full and that there was no need to worry unless my belly starts measuring small by more than 2-3cm! If that happens we will keep track of things via additional ultrasounds
