    1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
    8/8, 35w5d

    2) Age at delivery? (optional)
    39

    3) Any other children? Furbabies?
    One dog

    4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week?
Plugging along. Walking and moving a lot more slowly.

    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
I had some light pink spotting this morning. Fortunately, I already had an OB appt. scheduled for today. My regular OB is on vacation, but the one who saw me wasn't concerned because I am past 34 weeks, don't have other symptoms and the baby is still moving a lot. She thinks it's probably just my cervix starting its gradual warm-up for labor. So, phew, and fingers crossed that baby continues to hold out for a few more weeks.

Rave: An out-of-state friend sent me two big boxes of hand-me-down baby clothes. Everything from newborn to 12 months. I am paying her for the shipping, but she still saved me a bunch of money. :)

QOTW: What's your most annoying symptom right now?
Fatigue. Man, I am so tired. I can't make it through a day without napping.

The kicks to the bladder are frustrating, but the tailbone pain is starting to get a bit annoying. _______________________________________________________________________

    1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
March 2015, 4wks 5 days, poppy seed I guess, my first appt is in 1.5 wks, so will find out for sure then.

    2) Age at delivery? (optional)
    38

    3) Any other children? Furbabies?
    1 dog, 2 kitties

    4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week?
Nervous, just had BFP on Monday, so worried about every little feeling. Feeling tired, bloated & pressure, but think (hope) it's just gas. Terrible heartburn today, I'll have to lower my peanut butter in-take!

    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
Monday I had my progesterone checked b/c OB expected it to be low (had 2 rounds of Letrozole before getting pregnant), but level was 44. She still wants me to have an early U/S, which will be in 1.5 weeks, can't wait! (it's as bad as the 2WW!)

RANT:  this will be my 1st baby, so I don't know to expect... am I experiencing cramps or is it just gas? I don't want to be calling the OB everyday with every little issue...

QOTW: What's your most annoying symptom right now?
Feel like I'm having trouble concentrating/getting confused easier, keep having typos I'm not used to/would normally catch and I work on computer all day. Fatigue for sure, I want to sleep! :)

    Jan 24, 2015, 11wks 5 days, the size of a lime!

    2) Age at delivery? (optional)
    37

    3) Any other children? Furbabies?
    None

    4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week?
Starting to feel a little better.  Nausea is still here but significantly less than prior weeks though still have lots of fatigue.  Constipation is back though - ugh (not like it ever really left)....trying to up my water intake!

    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
We had our first OB appointment yesterday - we got to see our little one moving around and heard the heartbeat for the first time - so that was very cool!  Everything looks on track!  We should get our Panorama test results at the end of next week or early the following - will be able to relax a little once those come back normal (hoping that is the case!)

QOTW: What's your most annoying symptom right now?
Honestly - I would have to say the constipation - and dry mouth overnight.  I try not to drink too much water the hour or so before I go to bed so I am not waking up constantly to pee but as a result I feel like I wake up parched and then drink during the night...I think I need to space out my water better...

QOTW: What's your most annoying symptom right now?
  • 1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby?

Due date is 11/6/2014, but doctors want me to deliver around 39 weeks. I want to VBAC, if at all possible, so I hope my body gets the memo about going into labor naturally around that time.

    2) Age at delivery? (optional) Forty-frickin'-three

    3) Any other children? Furbabies? I have a 28 month old terror.... I mean sweet little boy, and two idiot dogs who are on my last nerve lately, but at 9 and 10, their idiocy is unlikely to change

    4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week? I feel pretty good, save for ever-present exhaustion and pack pain. My sex drive made a rare appearance this week, much to the delight of my husband.

    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? Have a growth ultrasound and bi-monthly oby appt in two weeks. I'm creeping ever closer to the "viability" finish line, which is somewhat reassuring. Otherwise, not much.

QOTW: What's your most annoying symptom right now? Well, for the first time ever, I sneezed and peed a tiny bit while doing so. I was all "What the hell did I just do? Oh, COME ON!!!" I've been pregnant 4 times in 3 years. I think my bladder has just given up at this point.

  • Hey @BeckyP2005! My son had a whopper of a fever this weekend (it hit 105, which scared the crap out of us), but is now bouncing around like nothing is wrong. But no, he has no idea that I am pregnant, and I doubt he has any concept of pregnancy or mommy having another baby. I think that'd be a lot for any 2 year old to really comprehend, much less a kid on the spectrum. I keep pointing to my tummy and saying "baby" but I might as well be saying "cheeseburger"--if he's getting any of it, I have no idea. He will though, and I think it will be a rough transition. This kid is used to ALLL the attention. It's going to be a rude awakening for him, that is for sure. I'm terrified about how I will handle two, but am trying not to think about that right now!

How are you feeling? I think it's so awesome that you're going to be a mom, and a 46-year-old mom, just like Halle Berry! When I was at my Level II anatomy scan and the doctor told me I was having another boy, he followed up with "But you can always have a third, maybe will be a girl!" (he's Japanese, so think of him saying all of this in a thick Japanese accent). I actually sat up on my elbows on the table and said "You realize I'm 42 and will be 43 when I have this kid, right?" And he made this "Pshhhhhh!!!" sound, shook his hand at me, and said "physiologically, you 18, you can have more." I laughed, but they said they're seeing a lot more older moms, including a woman who came in, who had only found out she was 5 months along like a few weeks earlier. She was 48. Spontaneous conception. We're taking over the universe, one uterus at a time ;)

  • @BeckyP005, we have my husband's parents (my mother-in-law watches my son during the week and will watch this baby too), but my parents are passed away. My sister will drive up (she lives 2 hours away) to watch Jack when I need help and has already offered to come and stay with us when this new baby is born (she's 16 years older than me, and is not working, so she has the time, thank God). Otherwise, I have yet to hire an outside babysitter, and we need to do that. I have to start with our service coordinator about getting respite care (since my son is in EI, we qualify, I think). I think that if we were to hire a babysitter for like 8 or 12 hours a month, respite care would cover that. Even just to go out with the husband and get dinner would be nice. It's amazing how much one kid changes your life, especially at this stage of the game. I cannot imagine what two will do!!!
