I don't post at all really. I lurk a lot though I had Choleostasis my last pregnancy. They did not catch it until I was 40 weeks though . All they did with me was monitor me for two days and the day before my due date they induced me. Baby was born perfectly healthy and happy. I had been having symptoms for about 3-4 weeks before I got tested and got the results back though. This pregnancy they tested me early on and it was negative and so far no symptoms but my doctor checks in with me about it at each visit. At my next appointment I am going to ask her if I should get tested again just to be sure. But no problems with this pregnancy so far. Sorry if this isnt as helpful since I found out so late.

I researched cholestasis because I had a different liver disorder in my last pregnancy. From what I have read, cholestasis is risky for the baby after 37 weeks. I think your doctor should be monitoring your bile acid levels to decide when it becomes unsafe for your baby. There are a lot of discussions on ICP over on the high risk board too, so it might be helpful to search there.
