Crazy, beautiful video

edited July 2014 in March 2015 Moms
Ok, so the need to be censored parts are censored, but there is, of course, a lot of screaming, probably NSFW.

This gave me such anxiety but also holy hormones, it made me cry and cry and cry.

Warning: This woman gives birth right outside the hospital. Also, FTMs, it is OK, it is most likely NOT going to go like this for you...

    That was awesome.

This also didn't scare me like I was prepared for? I just kept thinking, "Dude, this looks way better than hours upon hours in a hospital bed."
Uh, yea, no, my near 40 hours of labor was absolutely NOTHING like this. I also thought it seemed a lot better than what I ended up dealing with. What a beautiful birth and birth story though, and how awesome that her H delivered.

  • Oh man that was awesome. They're both troopers.
  • OMG, I am sitting at work sobbing watching this! She is a champ!! And this is why I changed my OB when I found out I was preggo. My OB delivered out of a hospital 45 minutes away!! New OB delivers out of a hospital that is within walking distance if things get cray! lol

I kind of wanted to see the censored part, I can't imagine pushing in a sitting up position---I was more curious about the logistics ;-)

    I cannot imagine this!

Particularly since it appeared she was wearing pants. Did someone take them off for her real quick? Rip them off? The logistics are confusing.

Ugh. Thanks for making me cry! I just can't believe that I'm going to experience that again. I don't mean the pain, but the joy of holding my baby in my arms.

Also, up until she started pushing..I was RAGING. I was like WTF DUDE, SHE'S IN SOME SERIOUS LABOR, DRIVE LIKE A MANIAC. WTF H, GET HER A F'N WHEELCHAIR, THIS AINT NO TIME TO BE ON THE PHONE WITH THE STUPID HOSPITAL!! RUSH HER IN!!!

I would kill my husband if he ever did that shit.

    OMG tears!!!

You guys will probably hear me talk about this as we get to know each other but I was pretty much traumatized by the circumstances of my son's birth.  I want nothing more than to A) have a normal birth with a totally healthy baby and B) have my husband there (it was such an emergency that they couldn't wait for my H to get there before they rushed me in to a c-section).

This video makes me so excited that I may get that with this baby (although I hope we make it inside the hospital!).  :)

I SO wanted to see the censored part! I was sad that I didn't get to see him come out. I started crying when her husband was saying "he's perfect! he's perfect! I've got him!"

I am in the same boat as you. Emergency C, husband couldn't be in the room and I wasn't even able to be awake. It was a mess. I had wanted an un-medicated vaginal delivery with minimal intervention. If you want to talk about it or vent, PM me anytime. I mourned my delivery for a long, long time.
  • I watched this earlier today---amazing!  I definitely shed a tear.
  • Oh myyyy ggggoooooddddd! I am in tears. This is hilarious and terrifying all at once. Lol. Thanks for sharing.

  • Sorry, this video pisses me off.  I want to strangle that husband.  I'm sorry, but going 90 down the freeway for ANY reason is NOT acceptable.  We were half an hour from my hospital and I was having 1 minute long contractions that were 1 minute apart from the moment they started and he still drove the speed limit and safely got me to the hospital.  And without freaking out like spaz, btw.  The whole time I was watching it I was trying to figure out why the dumbass didn't pull over LIKE SHE WAS BEGGING HIM TO and call an ambulance.  An ambulance can safely speed you to a hospital and paramedics are trained on the basics of delivery.

And, yeah, why was he pulling stuff out of the car and telling her the baby wasn't coming?  I think we should listen to the person who's got the child coming out of her vagina and trust her thoughts on this matter.  Trust me, you don't need your hospital bag when you're already in active labor like that.  Mine stayed in the car until I was released and I had to put clean clothes on.  You don't need a play list and chap stick at that point!
