Baby Showers

Forgot Event Time on Baby Shower Invites

My MIL is hosting a baby shower for me. She just informed me that she forgot to put the event time on the invitations and they've already be printed. However, they haven't been mailed to guests yet. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to include the time on already printed invitations. Should she just put a note in with the invitations, should she send an email, etc.?

Thanks.

    I'd stick a note in.
  • I agree that a note would probably be the easiest, just make sure it is a big enough piece of paper so that the note doesn't get thrown in the trash with the envelope!

Alternatively, has your MIL asked the printers if they would be willing to reprint at a discount? I know some online stores will reprint for free as I am sure this type of situation happens more often than we think!

    Best of luck!

  • Print a sticker for sure so that it doesn't get lost in the envelope.  If need be you could buy colored staples and print the additional information on a separate sheet and staple.
  • I'd either hand write it in or use a sticker. Honestly I'd go with handwriting for something like a shower because I wouldn't want to deal with making a sticker (I'm lazy).

  • Yeah, I would write something on the invitation

I would print out little stickers that could be stuck to the invitation so all the information is on one sheet.

  • I don't see a problem with hand writing the time on the invitation.  Showers aren't as formal as weddings, I wouldn't side-eye it.  Definitely tell MIL to ask the printers if they'll reprint them though, if it's cheap or free, it might be worth it.
