Pregnant after a Loss

Pregnant after loss

Hi, I'm new here. I'm 16 weeks 4 days with my little boy. At my last few appointments he has been measuring a week and 2 days ahead so that would put him at 17 weeks 6 days. I've had multiple losses, the earliest at 7 1/2 weeks and the farthest at 20 weeks, but the heartbeat stopped at 16weeks. I have 2 clotting disorders and that is the reason for all my losses. They just found out about them 3 weeks before I got pregnant this time. I'm on lovenox injections, metanex, and baby aspirin. I was just wondering if anyone has any advise on easing my mind. I've had weekly appointments up until 16 weeks and now I'm going every 4 weeks so I don't go back till 20 weeks and I'm freaking out. I constantly check for blood, and I'm a nervous wreck. I ordered a heartbeat dropper offline yesterday hoping hearing his heart beat when I feel scared will help, but it won't be here for a few days. I'm driving myself crazy, I feel him flutter every now and then but I question if that's really him or just a twitch. I though after I found out he was a boy I would be ok, but it seems worse because now I feel so much more attached and I'm so scared of loosing him. Sorry so long, and thanks so much in advance.

Re: Pregnant after loss

  • I am so sorry for your losses.

It sounds like your little one is doing great so far - congrats! PgAL brain is rough, but normal. Take it one day and one appt. at a time.

I know there are other ladies here who can offer you some wise words about clotting disorders specifically.

Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy and baby for the duration!

  • I'm sorry for your losses.

The fear and anxiety you're feeling is completely normal. You'll find that most everyone on this board has felt the same at one point or another - or never stopped feeling that way! I don't have any advice/experience on the blood clotting disorder, but I do want to wish you congratulations on your new pregnancy and welcome to the board!
