I know I saw a little blurb on FF but I can't find it now.
Anyone know the telltale signs of an anov. cycle?
Bonus points if you comment on my chart : )

  • I'm not sure about the signs, but as you can see on my chart I didn't ovulate until CD 34 this cycle. Maybe you are just really late ovulating this cycle. I think most posters will say after CD 60 you should consult your doctor.

Not ovulating is the sign of an annovulatory cycle. Seriously though, can you link for mobile users?

  • I agree with PPs, you may ovulate still this cycle, especially since it looks like you've ovulated pretty late before.

Now, your cycle back in January looks like it may have been annovulatory to me. I know FF gave you dotted crosshairs, but a 4 day LP does not make sense.

  • I'm with PP. I didn't ovulated until CD 46. Before that, I had four patches of EWCM about a week apart each time. It was a total mindfuck.

  • agree with all other pp's, too early to call in annovulatory, but yes flat temps, week on week off of fertile/non ferticle cm are signs.  Just keep temping and watching secondary signs if no O at 60 days call your dr.  Best wishes!
  • penelopemaria is this your first cycle pp?  Mine was way wacky check out my link... are you bf at all?  It does typically take a while for cycles to regulate pp

I think you can really only tell an anovulatory cycle after the fact. Like, if the cycle is over and there was clearly no ovulation. It's very likely that you're just ovulating late, but you can't really know until the cycle either ends on its own, or you get to 60+ days and see your Dr.

ETA: If you're only 6-7 months PP, you very well might have either anovulatory cycles, or just plain wacky cycles. It can take a while for things to get back to normal, especially if you're breastfeeding.

  • I didn't have a cycle for 9 months postpartum, then it was about 65 days, then 2 ~45 day cycles, a 35 day one, and since then. they've been 29 days.  It takes a while to regulate postpartum.

  • I agree with PP that maybe you just haven't ovulated yet.  During my anovulatory cycles my temps were super rocky and there were random days that I felt PMS like symptoms but it was never consistent like a normal 2WW.
