I have one and leave it downstairs during the day and in the nursery overnight. I don't think two are necessary personally.

  • I have two this time around. Had my boppy which I leave downstairs as it is easier to use on the couch. And then for the breast friend pillow this time ( and love it) keep that in the nursery. Now at almost 10 months I don't use the boppy all the time, but still use breast fruend( actually using it right this second)
  • I have 3! On for the living room, one for the bedroom and one for my parents house (I'm there a lot). But what do you use when you're on the go? At someone else's house or even out in public? I don't want to drag pillows with me, is there a hold that will help me feed him comfortably?
  • I have one downstairs, and one in the baby's room. No need to drag a nursing pillow up and down the stairs all the time!

I actually used my diaper bag the other day to kind of prop the baby up. Not the best, but it was better than nothing, it works in a pinch.

  • Idk, I totally suck at holding without a pillow. Still working on NIP. I'm a FTM  :(

  • i have 1 brest friend and 1 boppy

i've found the brest pillow more useful for nursing than the boppy.  in the daytime i keep it down where i nurse LO and at night time i bring it upstairs for MOTN feeds.  i use boppy now to prop LO up when we're hanging out

i'm starting to wonder when i'll ditch the pillows - she's getting so big now and i'm experimenting with different nursing positions...  i am finding it a bit difficult.  the pillows make it so easy!

I'm a FTM, as well; I use this hold (pictured below) on the go. She sits upright in my lap and I sort of tilt her back just a bit.

  • I never could get used to the pillows so I don't use any.. I use the same position as the picture and now at 5 months, use my bent leg to support him.

I'm just trying to make sense of things :-)
  • The boppy doesn't work for me as a nursing pillow but LO loves it now for tummy time. I just use regular pillows, body pillows, and throw pillows; whatever I can prop him up on. I've used the diaper bag for NIP but it's hard for me because the football hold is really the best position for me. Damn large boobs!
  • We have a 1 floor house so Idk but its sounds fine to me. I saw at the daycare they stacked the boppys so when LO practices sitting up they have a tower of pillows around them. Mine likes to lounge on the one we have. And so does the big kid and the dog :)
