Still in the bucket with a little room to grow. I have been shopping for a convertible, just haven't made the plunge yet. One advantage to having this second baby so close is that they will be able to safely use the same car seat!

We didn't switch DS to a convertible until he was 15 months. He was so tiny.
That was Corri too...she was in the bucket until like 15 months and actually still fit into it at 22 months...she was 24lbs at her two year checkup, and I'm pretty sure Gavin is nearly that now, lol!
Keep hoping DS1 will grow the 1/2 inch to be tall enough for a booster and we can give DS2 his convertible. DS1 is growing, but not fast enough. We may have to have 2 convertibles for a time.
I'm glad you asked because I have been wondering the same thing. We haven't made the switch yet. I want to but every time I plan to she falls asleep in the car and I remember how convenient it is to take her inside still.
I think DD might just squeak under the height limit, and she's well under the weight limit (21lbs at her 12m checkup), but we switched to a convertible in May, since I didn't want to wait and then have to get one quickly if she went through another growth spurt.
We switched in February. Although he had lots of weight room left, he just seemed so squashed in it and I kept pinching his fat neck in the straps, resulting in screaming. No bueno.
He's just much happier in the convertible. Plus he outgrew the height limit two or three months ago.
Still in the bucket. We are just below height and ours goes to 30 lbs so he has a few lbs to the limit. He is so heavy but I like that I can take the whole seat with him in it if he falls asleep.
We switched in mid April. There was just no slack left in the straps making it hard to get him in and out. And I'm guessing most will hit height limits before they hit weight limits on the infant seats. Technically my 3 1/2 year old can still for in the infant seat if we went by weight as she's 30 lbs and the seat is rated to 35 lbs.

We just put the convertible in my car this morning. The bucket will still be used in DH car tho until we buy a convertible for his car.
Convertible in DHs truck.
I voted convertible, but we never actually used a bucket, so she's been in the convertible since day 1....
Or I guess day 2 (when we left the hospital).
Monster Truck (It's a GIRL!) is due 19/02/2015!
