a VERY exciting baby poop question-- not to be missed!!

DS has not pooped for i don't know how long, i can't even remember !!?!?!?  I think it's been a little over a week.   he has been doing some very mini poops and has had the worst smelling gas known to man. earlier this week we pulled over because i thought something was rotting in the car.  nope, just a baby fart! =0  

anyway, he seems ok, but he is eating so freaking much, milk and his ''real' food intake has increased the past two weeks or so, i don't know where the F he is putting it all.     thoughtz?

    Prunes, stat. Also, make sure you're offering him water at meals and/or throughout the day.  Also, if it's really been a week, you might consider using a small piece of a children's glycerin suppository to give him some relief.

    Is his belly hard? Our ped (my iPhone changed ped to Pedro) always feels dd's belly and says she doesn't feel constipated.

    what do i do with prune juice? give him some to sip? how much! or just reg, prunes to chew on (though I don't know how much he would really get)   i feel so bad, i am a terrible constipation ignoring mother!

    i felt around, it feels normal?  as in, normal baby squishy, nothing hard (i dont think?)

    All of this. We bought LO some Gerber prune puree, and let's just say, it worked. For the following 36 hours. Now, we try to give him something with prunes every other day or two, just to keep things moving.

    Generally, I think many people are too obsessed with poop/constipation. If he's not in pain and is still passing gas, it's not necessarily a problem. Not pooping everyday =/= constipation. And ditto on feeling stool in the tummy. I've heard a Pedi say a kid can go up to two weeks sans poop as long as they aren't uncomfortable and are otherwise eating/drinking normally.
    Fiber and water.

    i know not going every day is normal, but this is well over a week here!  and i can't tell if he is uncomfortable because he gets fussy, but it might be his teeth.  damnit kid, talk!
