Recent ectopic pregnancy

Hi,

I'm recovering from an ectopic pregnancy. Got my surgery on july 4th (2 am)...

I was wondering, for the people who had or knows someone who had an ectopic pregnancy, how long did it take to finally have an healthy baby in the uterus? Did you/they had another ectopic pregnancy after the first one?

I have a lot of worries, I don't want to go throught this again.

I hope I'm at the right place for this question

    I'm sorry for your loss and the ordeal of an ectopic. If you just look down the page, there was a post yesterday about pregnancy after ectopic. It might have some useful information for you. Good luck.

    BFP #2: 11/16/12, EDD 7/25/13, MMC 12/5/12, D&C 12/6/12, Complete molar pregnancy confirmed 2/9/13, benched for 6 months until  August 2013

    IUI #1, 8/16/13 Femara + Menopur, 3 mature follicles, BFN
    IUI #2 (back-to-back, 9/12/13 and 9/13/13) Femara + Menopur, four mature follicles, BFFN
    IUI #3, 10/8/13 Femara + Menopur, six mature follicles, BFN

    BFP #3, 12/9/2013, while on treatment break, EDD: 8/22/2014  Please stick and grow, LO!

    Additional Dx: hypothyroidism, TgAb positive & anti-TPO positive, POR/DOR (2/2013), and suspected endometriosis

    I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope your recovery goes smoothly and you have good support to help you through this. Do you have a follow up scheduled with your OB? I would talk to her about TTC to get a sense of a timeline. After my ectopic in dec, I went in for blood draws a few times a week until we could see that the hcg levels were back to zero. Then my OB recommended waiting 3 mos to give my body a chance to heal (as well as my heart of course) before TTC. We were lucky to get pregnant right at the end of that 3 mos and things are going well with this pregnancy so far. Again, my heart goes out to you. I know how scary it can be, and how heartbreaking. My advice is to focus on healing for now and be kind to yourself. Have you also checked out the loss board? And you might lurk over on TTCAL to see if that could be a good fit too. Take care!!

    I am so sorry for your loss. I had an ectopic pregnancy resulting in losing my right tube in march. I am now 8 weeks along with a pregnancy in my uterus. I am by no means a success story yet but thrilled it's not ectopic and thrilled it didn't impact my fertility with one tube! Good luck and feel better ((hugs))

    I'm sorry for your loss. I had an ectopic a few years ago and had surgery at 8 weeks. I was told to wait 2 cycles and we conceived DS1 on our first cycle trying.

    I had an EP with tube removal in May of 2013. My o/b recommended we wait 2 months to try again and also referred me to an RE to have an HSG to check on the other tube. Between testings of RE and timing factors, we waited 4 months and conceived on 2nd try. That was an uterine pregnancy that ended in MC. We switched to new RE who recommended waiting two more months and we conceived with my current pregnancy. I had other factors to watch as well, but as far as the history of EP went, my RE had me come in every possible CD 1 for blood work and closely monitored my levels when I did get a BFP. He also did an u/s at 5wks4 to check on location.
