  One of my best friends in college was named Robin, and her last name was a bird made famous in a verse of an unusually annoying Christmas song (the bird starts with a P).
  
  It wasn't until months from graduation when someone commented that they could not remember her name but knew she was "the Bird Lady!" that it hit me that both names were birds.
  
  I'm not suggesting that you use her last name as a first name, it was just a funny bird name story.

  Wren, Paloma and Lark are my favorites. I've never heard Finch but I love it.

  Our DD's MN is Starling. We also had Sparrow, Wren and Lark on the list.

  I really like Robin, I knew a girl in high school named Robin and she came to prom in a dress with pictures of birds on it. It was actually really pretty and I thought she was so cool lol.

  Ah, I really liked Finch when I first read your post, but when I searched it looks like it means "swindler" and has associations with "dim-witted" or stupid. Not sure that it's a dealbreaker--I don't think most people would know that but if the child ever looks up his name meaning that would be sort of disappointing.

  Lark, Raven........there is a child at our school named Rooster....but I wouldn't recommend it!

  I automatically think of the character Finch from the America Pie movies, and he was a weird character to me, so I don't see the appeal.

   9/30/14--Off the bench! Unmedicated TI through December 2014
  BFP 12/14/14!!! Beta #1, 12/16: 990 Beta #2, 12/18: Over 2000! Beta #3, 12/22: over 8000!
   U/S #1, 12/23: gestational sac, possible heartbeat
  U/S #2, 12/30: HEARTBEAT! 128bpm, measuring right on at 7w EDD: 8/19/2015
