I don't understand I do capitalize the title but it's always changed. ETA it's only lowercase on the laptop not mobile. Whatever!!!.

Anyway I'm just trucking along on BCP, I'm starting lupron sat.  My spells have leveled out and hopefully the lupron won't put me in a spin.  I'm packing today to leave for vacation tomorrow so I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off so I will try to keep up the best I can today.

QOTW: Patience, I have NONE, I need it bad.

Today will be day 5 of stims.  I had blood work yesterday and am staying at 300 iu Gonal-F and 10 units HCG.  I have felt some stuff going on in my ovaries, but nothing too exciting yet.  When I did inject IUI cycles, my follies would grow along slowly at first and then have a growth spurt, I'm guessing maybe that will happen now as well.  I go back Thursday morning for blood work and an u/s.  I'm anxious to see what's going on in there.

I haven't really had any side effects from the meds at this point.  Honestly, I feel great and feel like I have more energy than I've had in a while.

ETA:  I've also managed to lose 4 pounds since I started BCPs.  I haven't been really concentrated on losing weight, but have been trying to eat better and be more active.  I guess it is paying off, and potentially the meds have decreased my appetite.

QOTW:  Hmmm...I wish I was a little bit taller.  I'm 5'1.  Finding pants that aren't too long and reaching for things that are higher up is a constant battle.  I would love not to have to worry about any of that.

11/14/14 -  Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.

12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2

12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)

  • @StacyLH24‌ my ovaries would do the same thing, they started out slow and all the sudden I had follicles coming out of the woodwork. I think mine usually did that around 7-8 day of stims. Also during my IVF cycle I felt fine up until day 10 and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I'm also a little jealous of your weight loss. I lost 7lbs immediately within a few weeks after ER but now with bcp's I'm back up 3 more lbs.

Amen on the being taller. I'm 5'3" 1/2 I'd kill to be able to reach the top shelves, I have step stools all over my house.

  • Hey ladies!

I started lupron (I've had a horrible headache ever since) and I take my last bcp Wednesday! I start stims Monday, and I'm just hoping for a better response this time.

QOTW- I agree with @Pintobean39‌, in that I could use more patience. I have none and am probably one of the most impatient people in the world.

  • I am still on BCP (3 more days) and today was my second Lupron injection. So far so good! I'm doing 20 ml and so far no side effects. The shots have been easy enough... Easier than pregnyl anyway since I don't have to do any mixing with this... Just put liquid in the syringe and use it. It seems like such a tiny amount of liquid in the bottle but I guess it's enough!

QOTW: hmmmm, I wish I were less jealous.

  • Not much new here.  I start Lupron in a couple of days.  But great to see all the updates!

I would give myself the metabolism of a squirrel so I could have chips and queso without gaining 4 lbs.  But as a less vain option, I would make myself a little more extroverted.  Once I know someone and like them, I have no problem chatting it up.  But I just typically don't like people :P  And then I get tired of people thinking of me as shy.

Hey gals, I'm back with my wtf update. RE discussed my case with several otherwise REs out of state and the head embryologist. They said my stims are good, so that's apparently not the problem as I make plenty of eggs, it just all falls apart by day 3. RE is checking me for clotting issues (serious heart history in my family) and due to my having 2 autoimmune conditions is considering doing an intralipid infusion for my next cycle. He increased my coq10 to 200 twice daily, and is ok with my taking methyl folate. We are going to do a freeze all because of my luteal phase issues--he suspects the synchronicity of the lining during a stim cycle is an issue for me. Also, he wants to do an endometrial scratch before the FET to help with implantation.

The suggestion that made me upset was that they'd like us to try some donor sperm for a few eggs to see if DHs sperm are the problem, since they say egg issues are more rare. DH is awesome, and when we discussed the possibility of donor sperm actress his first Urology appt he was totally on board. I'm just grieving over the possibility of not being able to have our genetic baby. I know things could be much worse, and in many ways we are super lucky, I'm just sad. I think we will probably try some DS and just hope that with all these other changes we will just have them as a backup.

So sorry this was so stinking long, I just know I've appreciated details of other IF-ers WTF appts as it's helped me form questions for my own, so hopefully this helps someone else!!

Thanks for "listening", please have a treat****Passes out wine and cookies*****

  • @Mozzarella13 It is always hard to get unexpected info/recos like that - takes a while to process how you feel about it.  But it's great that he put so much thought into changing up some things for next round, so hopefully if you do use DS, you can just have those embies as backup.

@Mozzarella13 I'm sorry about the DS rec. I hope you get a lot of eggs and you can do a few to see if there's a big difference and for backup purposes. We were made that suggestion before we started our cycle since my RE didn't know how DH's MFI would come into play.

@StacyLH24 Good luck with stimming! Hope you feel better!

I'm currently in the dreaded 2ww.... I moved beta up to Sunday because originally I thought it would be nice not to have to go to the main (further away) office on a weekend since I've been the last few weekends, but, then I decided I'm impatient and rather just get it over with instead of having the office convenience. So beta this weekend. I'm already POAS and it's coming back negative but I know I'm only half way there.... so we will see.

    Hey ladies,

Hope it's okay that I join here!

I am currently on BCP for our first IVF cycle and will start my Lupron Friday night and last BCP next Tuesday. Went in for my baseline ultrasound and they found a small cyst, hopefully it's gone at my next u/s. Has anyone done an IVF cycle with a cyst and it went ok? I'm super nervous to doing the injections myself but also excited to get started with them, any tips? Or just fill and inject? Lol

QOTD I wish I had thicker hair :(

  • Hey guys. This is my first post ever on a site like this! I've tried to stay away from the web because I could drive myself crazy with all these different opinions but what the heck!
I did four iui's with no success. I'm currently on my first (hopefully only) round of IVF I'm on treatment day 5 of combo gonal f, menopur and start ganirelix tomorrow as well. My stomach is in over drive. Question: my RE said nothing about limiting activity during stims but other boards said RE's limited them. Also never took bcp... Hmmm?

Qotw: I wish I was funnier! My husband is hilarious and I wish I made him laugh like I do.
  • First follie u/s shows 10 in the 7-9 mm range. He said they are being conservative with my meds based on how I've responded to Gonal-F in the past. FX that slow and steady wins the race.

  • @Mozzarella13‌ It sounds like your RE is on top of things. I don't know how I'd feel about the DS. We have discussed a DE and it always makes me upset when I think it wouldn't be our biological child. Whatever you decide Good luck!

@KT416‌ I have everything crossed for you. I agree it's still a little early.

@ash_16‌ Good luck! I've always had cyst inbetween cycles. My Dr just puts me on bcp and they go away. He did tell me they will go away on their own but mine are usually larger and I'm impatient. The only tip I have for injections is organization. They are easy and rather painless. The only problem I had was that I had so many I got confused one night and gave myself the wrong thing. So I made sure I was organized the rest of the time and my husband was no longer allowed to talk to me while I was preparing my meds.

@ReanneBowman‌ My RE said I could continue activity until I started feeling it. I did slow down a lot and around the 8-9day of stims I started feeling it. Welcome and Good luck!

@StacyLH24‌ Sounds like they are growing at a good pace. FX!!!
