Intro and question

Hello all just a quick hello. We are back to ttc after a work induced break. Dh and I have been married for 2 years and we have an 8 yo dd.

My question: anyone have any unique ideas for telling Dh your expecting? Besides bun in the oven or a jar of Preggo type stuff.

    Son: Jackson, 11/02/06, stillborn due to PPROM and IUGR. Over the next ten years we had 9 miscarriages from 8-14 weeks. On May 18, 2016 my daughter, Ridley, was born. We're OADNBC.

    Welcome and for your question I have always just been straightforward and shown the test.  I'm just not into surprise type stuff.

    Well, with my last BFP I just told him as I walked out the bathroom because I couldn't believe I saw two lines, lol.

    I'll probably do something similar next time.

    Welcome.  I don't understand the cutesy stuff at all.  He knows you're trying right?  So when you get pregnant, it shouldn't be a big surprise.  Why not just tell him.    Mine went and checked the stick with me first time around.

    With DS#1 I did not think I could be pregnant on the first cycle. I took the test when I returned home from grocery shopping. Left the bathroom to take care of the groceries. DH called to chat, he was working. He was far away in a field in a tractor. Went back to the bathroom to take care of toiletries I bought and remembered the test. I was still on the phone and screamed HOLY SHIT! He kept saying, "What? Are you okay? What heppened?!" I was silent for a second and said we're pregnant the test is pregnant. Oh my god the test is pregnant. I wasn't thinking straight lol. Then he said, "Wtf am I supposed to do?" We celebrated when he got home.

    I don't plan on anything cute next time. I just want him home with me. I want us to wait for the results together.

    Welcome! Pinterest is your friend on your question topic. I purchased a book months ago called "What To Expect When Your Wife Is Expanding" ~ When the time comes, I plan on putting a pic of the tests on the inside cover of the book and placing it on the bookshelf. I am planning on telling him I am working on a school project and I need him to "grab that book up there" and tell me what the title is and who the author is. And record the whole thing on my phone.
