Pregnant after IF

***2nd Tri Check-in 7/8/14***

This is a weekly check-in for members in their second trimester. You can feel free to join at 14 weeks and we will bid you an excited farewell on your way to third tri after 27 weeks. If there are any newcomers that would like to be added to the list, post below and include your EDD.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

How far along are you this week?

Any appointments or other updates?

Also, please let me know if I have your “team”listed correctly or if it needs to be updated.

QOTW:  Since we have all been in the pregnant game for a while, I am sure that every one of us have received unsolicited advice (personally it is driving me CRAZY!!)… Have you been told anything crazy or unbelievable?  Or you can also use this qotw to vent/praise about everyone giving you this advice…

  • Hello Everyone -
It has been a long time since I updated. I am about 22 1/2 weeks.  I have been feeling good. Just like Ashris13 - I have not felt the baby move yet. It does worry me a little bit even though I have no reason to think anything is wrong.
I've had a lot of heartburn in the last couple weeks, I hear that only gets worse as we get further along.  And I do sometimes get a rapid heartbeat with a little shortness of breath. I am going in to see my Dr. this afternoon just to double check. I feel like I am being a high maintenance patient, but I just need a little reassurance (it's so hard to go 4 weeks between appointments!)

We are just starting to do some baby shopping. The stroller, car seat, crib stuff is overwhelming! Too many choices.

QOTW - I also agree with Ashris13, everyone keeps saying how "your life will change" "Its so hard, you'll never sleep...."  This coming from friends with 2 and 3 kids. If it is so bad, why do they keep having babies?  I do get tired of hearing how it's the hardest job... I hope I don't sound like they do a year from now!

Me:38 - TTC for 3+years - Multiple failed IUIs (w/clomid, femara, injectibles - all BFNs) IVF #1 - Jan 2012, CP -IVF#2 March 2012, CP - Went back to IUIs all summer. Multi-Cycle Egg banking for FET. Egg retrieval #1 October, 2 frosties. Retrieval#2 January 2013. 6 eggs banked - waiting to be fertilized in March, FET March! Zero eggs survived thaw process - FET Cancelled. New RE - Now banking Embryos for PGS - July ER- 3 eggs retrieved, 3 fertilized, 1 genetically normal embryo! FET - Feb. 2014, BFP - Mar. 2014, EDD 11/6/14 It's a GIRL!

Thanks for the check-in @Ashris13!  Hope you feel that movement soon!  I'm meeting with another daycare provider tonight and called another yesterday to see when her next infant opening is, so we'll see.  It is definitely stressful.

AFM, I've also been working on our nursery, which is now empty of non-baby stuff except for 1 empty shelf and 1 rolled up area rug, which should be moved out this weekend!  Then we can start to set up the crib.  My sister is planning a shower for early Sept and I'm starting to get excited about that, and H and I will probably sign up for our Sept childbirth class next week.  I can't believe I'm 1 week out from v-day and am planning for things like showers and childbirth classes, surreal!

QOTW- I don't think that I've gotten any bad or crazy advice yet.  What's annoying me is unsolicited comments from strangers about my size or how pregnant I look.  Yeah, I look bigger than 23 weeks, get over it.  I'm gaining weight on track with what my dr wants me to gain and it's all going to my stomach, so kindly keep your non-expert opinions to yourself!

Hello ladies! And thanks@Ashris13‌ for the checkin, you're so good at it.

17w1d here and still doing pretty good. Yep we're one week from our A/S and I'm super excited! So after not feeling baby move all week last week on my way to work yesterday I asked baby to kick me. This LO is so good and kicked all afternoon and into the night! DH tried to feel it but couldn't. I couldn't feel it from my skin neither but somebody was definitely poking from the inside a lot yesterday. It was a little weird but feels amazing.

My cervix pressure seems to have gone away for the most part. But last night I was doing my business in the bathroom and felt sth came out of my vagina as my bowels moved. Nothing actually came out and babys heartbeat was normal with the doppler. I just find it strange to have that kinda sensation while nth was actually coming out of your lady part.

QOTW: I'm probably the only one who hasn't heard many unwanted advices. I expect most of those to come from work and still nobody except my boss knows I'm pregnant. My family and close friends have all been very amazing and supportive. One of my best friends has been telling me that I'm gonna be huge even before I got pregnant, and she still says that. I see it as a joke and cuz I've only gained 1# from my pre-prego weight so far. My parents and in laws tend to not let me carry anything even it's light and that annoys me a bit, but no big deal.

    Hi everyone,

I am new here!  My EDD is 01-8-14, figured I'd just join in this week.  I'll be 14 weeks in two days :)  My history is in my siggy, but hubby and I were delighted to get pregnant after IVF.

This is actually our first week without an appointment, had US the past three weeks.  I actually feel good about not seeing the OB this week, so definitely getting more comfortable with everything.  We have an appt with the NP next week, haven't met her yet.  I would love to have her job, I'm half tempted to ask her if I can shadow her sometime :)

Since I'm a peds nurse that works with babies, people don't really give me advice, so that is a perk :)  I work with lots of preemies and newborns on my unit.  I'm good at taking care of babies, but still nervous about my own.  It's one thing taking care of them for 8 hours then getting to go home lol, it is going to be different living with a baby and trying to do school and work.  I'm sure I'll figure it out!

    Me:
    30, DH: 32
My hx:  uterus/hormones normal Dx: low AMH 0.5 = poor ovarian reserve
hubby hx: low sperm count, poor motility, started on clomid, retest in May showed no improvement, will be on clomid another 3 months, another retest scheduled for August

    Started IVF #1:  ~BFP Mentioned~
    • ER (Thursday April 17th, 3 precious eggs).
    • April 18th: Received news 2 out of 3 eggs fertilized!
    •  Planned 3dt: Easter day, transferred two 8B embryos and received pictures :)
    • BFP starting 8dp3dt 5/1 Beta #1: 87, 5/3 Beta #2 206
    • 5/19 Heartbeat 123bpm
    • EDD 1/8/15

  • Thanks for the great check in as always, @ashris13 .  Hope you start feeling some movement soon.

I did go out and buy a little set of pink onesies and a pink swaddling blanket this weekend.  I had to have something girly now that we know she is a girl.  I ordered my nursery furniture today.  I have been waiting until the anatomy scan before ordering it just in case.  But now that everything is looking good, I gave in and ordered it!

It is starting to really sink in that there might actually be a baby in November/December.  Before now I have stayed pretty guarded.  It is hard to ignore now that she has a name and we know she is a girl and she has a whole nursery full of furniture.

QOTW:  I think the most annoying thing is when people criticize my exercise routine.  I have kept pretty consistent with working out 4-6 days a week.  I hate when people see me heading to the gym and give me the stink eye or make a comment about how that might not be good for the baby.  I want to say (1) are you my OB or my MFM because they have both okayed what I am doing and (2) read the research that shows all the benefits of exercise in pregnancy.  Idiots.  I generally do not care for unsolicited advice.  If I have questions and want your opinion, I will ask!

Hello ladies!  I'm 19w 3d today.  DH felt his first definite kick last night (which was after my sister felt one last week!).  I'm feeling lots more movement throughout the day.  Our A/S is on Thursday and we can not wait to see how much LO has changed.  And praying that everything looks perfect.

@Ashris13 - we are set on remaining team green again this time!  I didn't want to find out with DS and even though DH was so against it, he loved the surprise in the end.  I told him #2 was his choice and he decided he'd like to wait again.  I was fine either way!  And we had a great time at the beach last week.  Not really relaxing but DS had a blast!

QOTW:  No real unsolicited advice just yet, although I'm sure it's coming, but I am pretty much over this one co-worker who keeps commenting on how big I am.  This is my 2nd so I popped a little earlier, but I don't think I'm huge and I've been measuring on track.  She has kids and daughters who have kids - you'd think she'd know what not to say to pregnant women!  One more comment and I'm going to have to give it back to her!

  • Today I am 20 weeks!  So happy to be half way there.  We have our anatomy scan tomorrow and I'm really nervous about it.  We didn't do the NT scan or any other genetic tests, so it all comes down to tomorrow.  I hope baby girl is doing well. @Ashris13 - I've felt some flutters, but nothing constant.  I hope you feel something soon!!  Also, the reveal went well and everyone had a great time.  It's still sinking in that we are having a baby girl!!

QOTW:  We went to the lake this weekend with two couples that have children under the age of 2 and one of the dads (after being about 20 beers in) just said to enjoy our childless life now because next summer we won't be able to boat all day long because baby will need to nap, eat, etc. and that our routine is going to change.  Well, I understand, but I am totall happy with the life change and can't wait until it does change!!  People don't understand how hard it was to get where we are and any "negatives" they see to having a child are really positives to us!!

  • I'm 19 weeks tomorrow. No appointment until the 23rd so we are just coasting along. I've been feeling little girl move for a while, she is higher up so I think that's why I can feel her move. She also seems to be the more active one of the two. We are slowly buying the things we need. Next I need to buy another dresser and the car seats. I can't wait till vday. I have 2 IRL friends that have lost twins right around 22-23 weeks so it just makes
    me really nervous.

QOTW: I'm a STM so people don't tend to offer me advice. But the general public comments on my bump now. Usually asking/telling me what I'm having. Well every guess is right since there's a boy and a girl.

  • Hi ladies! Im a 2nd trimster newby. Due Date is 1/6/15 and I am 14w1d today with 1 bean. I am thrilled to be here. It is going sooo fast. Rumor has it- I should start getting energy back soon and Im excited. Been a sleepy last few months. We had our NT Scan last week and came back clear- feeling great about that.

So far I have been lucky with the advice given. We tried for 3 years so most of my family/friends are too excited for us to be dictators. Gotta say- Im surprised. We are surrounded by strong personalities. Most advice has been about timing- like when to register and get the nursery done and that jazz. It all makes sense- since we are due around the holidays we need to get cracking the end of summer. Thanks for having me!

Well, I understand, but I am totally happy with the life change and can't wait until it does change!!  People don't understand how hard it was to get where we are and any "negatives" they see to having a child are really positives to us!!

I feel this way too, people who can't empathize with IF just have a different perspective.  If someone does make a comment about how difficult it can be and how much things change, I just let it go in one ear and out the other because they just can't understand how much I'm looking forward to all of those changes!  Bring it on, I can't wait!  I'm sure it'll be really hard at times but I'm looking forward to all of it, good, bad and ugly.

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing well. I am 17 weeks today....still so excited. No movement yet, but I'm waiting. We have our scan next friday, but we are team green so I'll keep my eyes closed for the key parts ;-)

We have a babymoon in the Caribbean, leaving july 19....can't wait!!!! After that we'll start on the nursery. We have a color picked out, I'm more nervous about the cleaning. We live in a small ranch so space is at a premium.

  • No updates here.  We have an appointment next Tuesday with MFM and Friday with OBGYN.  MFM wants to check the heart again.  We will see how that goes.  I'm taking everything they say with a grain of salt.  I don't know if I'm feeling anything yet.  We did get the cribs for the twins and set those up.  Although there aren't mattresses we got the big stuff done.  My little sister is having her baby any day now so i've shifted my focus a little to my god daughter.  Still trying to figure out the best way to do our Facebook gender announcement.  We tried 2 blue ribbons but DH said my belly wasn't big enough.  I wish he had this belly on him ;)  We also went to Babies r Us and bought 2 sleepers.  they had monsters on the feet and butt.  DH fell in love with them since he's been calling the babies his little monsters this whole time :)

  • I would like to join please! 14 weeks and EDD is Jan 3. 2nd OB appointment this Thursday.

QOTW: My coworker and friend pissed me off yesterday telling me that the rice cake and peanut butter I was eating was unhealthy and I need to be eating fruits and veggies.  The nerve of her! I eat lots of fruits and veggies, just wasnt at that time. I'm sure there is more annoying unsolicited advise to come.

Three ectopic preganacies in left tube in 1999, 2003 and 2004. HSG in 2010 concluded left tube blockage. IUI with femara in 2012 BFN. IVF #1 June 2013, 20 retreived, 14 mature, 12 fertilized via ICSI, one transferred, four frozen, BFN.  FET in September 2013 - BFN:( FET #2 April 2014 - BFP!!!!

  • I'm 21w6d today. I heard back from my doctor's nurse last week after missing one another by minutes each time. It was slightly annoying because at first she was like oh no you have nothing to worry about. Three hours after our first conversation she called and said she misspoke. That further down on my chart it was indicated that I had marginal placenta previa with both sacks. She said they weren't worried and said no bed rest or restrictions. But if I saw any blood to call them immediately. The expect it to resolve itself as my uterus expands (my next appt is in 2 weeks), they hope the placenta will move up (that makes 2 of us. . .FX my body will work/cooperate). I'm debating on the next round of just asking for a referral to the MFM. . .The only thing that puts some ease to my mind is they are finally kicking around and I feel them daily (finally)!

QOTW: So far no unsolicited advice from strangers. Friends & family for the most part of been really supportive. The only ones who have driven me slightly crazy is my mom and my MIL. I know they mean well. . .but a lot has changed in ~ 40 years. When my DH was out of town his mom called to make sure that I wasn't lifting anything. . .seriously?!? and that I was eating right (I was just exiting the first tri. . .so my though is whatever stays down is good). While my mom was telling me what to buy (sorry mom, drop-down cribs were banned a while back).

  • Hi everyone! I've enjoyed reading your updates. We will be 20 weeks tomorrow. When I asked my OB about the need for an echo w/ ivf, she suggested a level 2 ultrasound. So we go for a more in depth anatomy scan on Monday. We will stay team green but I still can't wait to see baby.

I've been feeling and seeing the baby kick a lot and even was able to video tape. Of course DH says it just looks like a hiccup, but the video is worth gold to me.  Otherwise, I've just keep updating my registry and signed up for Bradley birthing classes to start in September. Also, I've been spending a lot of time  stalking the birth story and 0-3 months boards. Learning about perineal massage... I've even found physical therapist that specialize in the pelvic floor and can help with prepare for birth and postpartum.

QOTW- still not a lot of advice, over summer I've been hiding out but I think both work and school will find out about the pregnancy in the next week. There is no way to hide it for any longer.

  • Hi ladies! I'm 20w2d w/ our twin girls today. Next appt is w/ MFM next Tuesday. I can't wait to see them again. Movement is still not very consistent here either which has me anxious too. I know it's still a little on the early side though.

We cleaned out/painted the nursery & ordered furniture from BRU. Finished up our registry. I feel like we're in pretty good shape :)

QOTW: Not really pregnancy related, but we've been getting unsolicited advice about our living situation. We currently rent a 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo. It's decent sized and in a nice area - we're perfectly fine here for now. Everyone seems to think we need to rush out and buy a house though. You know, because down payments & such grow on trees ;)

It's twin girls!! Born on 11-2-14!
    image
  • Thanks for the great check in @Ashris13‌ I hope you feel movement soon. My next check up is Friday. No changes in baby. I picked a crib & my mom ordered the dresser so i couldn't change my mind, pregnancy has made me indecisive!

My FIL is here working on nursery, we've got new insulation, drywall, door (old one squeaked so loud!), new windows and will be getting new closet door & they paint tomorrow! He will also be fixing some other things around the house for us.

I got to see my BFF again last night. I love when she is in town. They live in Florida now but she is hoping to move back to NJ next summer, FX! I had such a great time with her & her kids.

    QOTW:
Major thing that bugs me are those that tell me it's ok to eat this or that cause they did when they were pregnant. No one seems to grasp that it took 4years to finally get pregnant so I really don't want to jeopordize anything over something as unimportant to me by eating cold cuts, hot dogs, etc.
Other annoying advice, bad parents who feel like they know everything. A woman at work constantly complains about her daughter, daughter is disrespectful, lazy, & spoiled, she is never disciplined. In her stories the woman is often the enabling this behavior. She'll cook dinner, daughter will refuse to eat & so mother will pick up take out after she cooked! She is 16, old enough to know better. Other mothers try to point it out (I have no experience so I can't say a word), she becomes defensive. But this is the only woman who keeps giving me unsolicited parenting advice "you just wait til manny does this". I finally told her, my son will not run our house, he will be the child, we will be the parents & he will learn to be respectful. Even that didn't shut her up. Ugh!
Me: 33 - PCOS & Hypothyroidism DH: 35 - SA is good Married since 2010 (together since 2006) TTC since June 2009 (we knew we would have issues and wanted family right away after we got married). No pregnancies yet. May 2013 - started first round of Chlomid & ovidrel cycle.
  • Hi ladies! Today, I'm 16 weeks! Every week I get under  my belt lets me breathe a little more. I've been finding that anxiety is pretty high and I'm terrified of anything going wrong. I have my first cervical length check tomorrow, so hopefully things are going well and this is one less worry for the time being.

Yesterday, I had fluid leaking down my leg and I was certain it was over. I called my OB's office, who sounded very worried and had me rush to the ER. Great. Well, apparently, I just have a horrible UTI and I'd peed my pants. Ha! Great stuff there! They did the swab to check for my water breaking and it was clear, so that was a relief. I have never been happier to pee my pants in my entire life! We got a peek at the LO in an u/s and it was wonderful. The u/s tech kept referring to the pregnancy as a "twin" pregnancy and that was pretty painful. For those of you who don't know, we lost a twin around 9 weeks. The baby is still there and can be seen on the u/s still. I was prepared to see it, but I wasn't prepared for the u/s tech's comments over and over.

Advice: Hum? Not yet. I've been on modified bedrest for the last couple of weeks because of some spotting, so I haven't been around people enough to get advice. Once the bedrest is lifted, I'm sure people will be giving plenty!

    My Blog

  • Hi ladies! I hit 19w today. I think I felt him move for the first time yesterday. We are starting to work on clearing extra furniture out of the nursery and we picked up a bunch of paint swatches to pick out a color. I'm getting more energy and I think I have less food aversions but the smells still get to me a lot. One of my favorite gruyere cheeses is dead to me right now because I cannot stand the smell. We are headed to Disney World next week and I thought I had gotten enough maternity shorts to get me through the trip but when I got home and actually tried on the two pairs of shorts I got at Ross they did not come close to fitting. So I need to find 2-3 pairs of maternity shorts this weekend. I was just going to order some from ON and expedite shipping but they don't have my size in any of the ones I like. My AS is scheduled but I have to wait until almost week 22 because I hit 20w right before we go on vacation. It will be great to finally see him again. I haven't seen him since 9w.

QOTW: I haven't gotten any crazy advice. Just random comments from people who clearly didn't know we were TTC for so long, "It happens when you least expect it." Um, no.

     TTC since August 2011, Me = 40, DH = 38

  • This is my last post for 2nd tri. cehck in.  Can't believe I'll be 28 weeks next Tuesday!  I am wroking to get to tomorrow's Hospital ultrasound and to meet with dr. on Friday to go over how to monitor my sugar.  I am still recovering fro the UTI and Y-infection.  Walking ok, but still know it is clearing up with meds.  Still digesting the fact that my shower will not be happening, but thinking ahead to the next 11 weeks and realizing that my sons will be here before I know it!  =)  Yeah!  38 weeks is my goal with these babies!

Good luck to everyone here in 2nd trimester!  I look forward to continued updates about how everyone is doing!

  • Hi, Thank you @Ashris13‌ for a great check in. 24 weeks 1 day today. No updates. Baby is more active now & I can feel him kicking up a storm. I haven't done any shopping but got a lot of stuff from friends. QOTW - no annoying or unsolicited advice. But today my boss wanted to touch my bump & a co-worker told her my boss that she can take the baby as well. Thank you again, @ashris13! Ahh, I was hoping you'd feel movement this week. LOL abt the standoff. Also, just curious - is your placenta anterior? If so, that could be the reason. It could be "cushioning" the baby's kicks. I have a fitbit as well! I've been so discouraged I don't hit my 10K steps I've been lazy about wearing it. Pre-pregnancy I'd get 10-12K with no problems, so you're not the only one!!!

I'm 18 weeks 4 days today and had my anatomy scan! Everything looked great, and she confirmed it was a baby girl. :) Thank goodness because I've already bought too many girl-ish things even though I tried to stop myself from doing so. All the other parts looked great, and blood work was thankfully normal too. I think for the first time I'm feeling great about the pregnancy and can finally relax. It's an amazing feeling.

Love reading everyone's check-ins! Have a great week!

  • Pregnancy brain at its best here. I must have missed last weeks' check-in.

Still humming along here. I think i feel movement, but PGAL/IF brain still has the best of me. I feel so much smaller than the girls on my BMB and I am by no means a small gal, so that concerns me a bit. Other than that I can't wait till monday for our AS!!! I have this irrational fear that they are going to let the sex slip so I have a feeling I'm going to be their worst patient of the day.

QOTW: I really have not received any advice yet. I'm not showing much so I haven't encountered any strangers that have been brave enough to say anything. The only crazy thing family has said is my mother who told me that if I catch a cold/flu my baby will have birth defects. SMH.

  • Update: Had my 16 week ultrasound on Monday followed by appointments with the MFM and OB. My partial placenta previa has already resolved itself (yay!) and baby looked terrific. He was having a dance party in there, and we also got to see him swallowing. It was awesome. He is measuring more than a week ahead, but I've already passed one glucose test, so I'm hoping he's just a big boy, and it's not my doing. The best news is that the doctor's have lifted all my restrictions. I'm not sure DH and I will ever feel safe enough to have sex, but at least I can exercise and lift my dogs again!

QOTW: We haven't been dealing with too much unsolicited advice, but MIL is still trying to name the baby counter to our wishes. So that's been fun.

  • 26w5d here! I can't believe this is my last post on this check in... craziness.

Things are looking good. Today my cervix measured right at 3, so they're happy with that. The twins are growing, growing, growing.. at last check both were almost 2 lbs. I have my glucose test on Monday. Not terribly excited about that!

I haven't had much in the way of terrible advice.. but a cashier at a store did tell me that he and his wife "almost had twins." I should have left it there, but of course I was like, "oh really?" and he said, "yeah, but then the big twin ate the little one a couple weeks in." uh... what.... I think I just stood there in shock because WHO SAYS THAT????

As for me, I'm 27w tomorrow, babies are moving and grooving and poking and kicking.  It's so cool!  What's not cool is this new diagnosis of GD, I really thought I'd be able to avoid this, but reality check, I'm not always in control.  Last US they were about 2lbs and both head down.

We have cribs and carseats, but will start decorating nursery this weekend. Can't wait!

You are just like us! We have the cribs (not set up yet) but not the car seats. I registered for them, but I think they may be too expensive and just something we'll buy on our own. I'm dreading the glucose test.. With the way everything else has gone, I'm sure I have it. But like you said, it's out of my control. Did you already do the 3 hr test?

Hey guys! 27 weeks today and we saw one of the new docs in our new OB practice this week. We like the practice more and more. Baby A totally kicked the doppler off my stomach, so DH and the nurse dubbed him the "evil twin" lol. Everything is looking good, and I can't believe we are on to the 3rd tri next week!

No major updates, just some general soreness in my hips and a strained back muscle that is coming back to haunt me from this spring.

Thanks, @ashris13 for the awesome check ins - we are in the process or making an agreement on a house! Squeee!

QOTW: No unsolicited advice really, just the general "your hands will be full!" "good luck!" twin comments. My MIL is also a little pissy that we haven't named them yet, even though she knows the list and the top 4. I just roll my eyes and soldier on ;)

ETA: My MIL and her sister also told me they hated something on my registry at my shower. I had already taken the item off for other reasons, but I wanted to tell them it was a good thing that they wouldn't have to be using it! They also made comments about what everything was/why do you need all of this. Good Lord, just keep your mouth shut...

  • Thanks for a great check in @Ashris13‌ - good job as always!

I am 25 weeks! Just found out today that I passed the glucose test - yay! And we bought a new convertible crib and matching furniture for Jeffrey bc we plan to use his crib (which doesn't convert unfortunately) for the new baby. Glad to finally make some progress with the nursery! I have been feeling fine but am bracing myself for the weekend bc the inlaws are in town :(

QOTW: worst unsolicited advice was from my MIL after Jeffrey was born. She told me that I should take a break from nursing bc DH needed to bond with the baby and should get to bottle feed him.
  • Thanks @Ashris13 for another great check in that I'm late to the update AGAIN.
Good luck to those ladies moving on to 3rd tri.

We are 24 weeks today = V-day! Wow, I can't believe it. Only 16-ish more weeks? Where did the time go? Starting to feel anxious that we haven't done any prep yet for the little Scopio's arrival.

@Ashris13 - Fx you feel movement soon. Our a/s confirmed a posterior placenta and I first felt nudges around 19-21 weeks. The last week has definitely been more prominent squirming.

Spent yesterday out at BRU and Target with DH (again). Target had 20% off on Graco and Chicco products as well as a $20 off $100 coupon, now expired.  We ended up with the Graco SnugRide Click Connect 30 infant seat plus the Graco FastAction Fold Sport stroller for a really nice deal at Target, about $90 in savings overall.

At BRU, we were also looking at the Graco Aire3 stroller (seems to be a BRU exclusive) and thought it had smoother tires than the Graco FastAction Fold Sport. The Aire3 also had a single lever for the brakes whereas the FastAction Fold Sport has two levers. DH asked me if I would be annoyed at the feature differences over time. I had to weigh that thought with the fact that the Aire3 seems to be one of the newer products so reviews aren't abundant yet with the fact that after the Target deal, the Aire3 would be close to $125 more.

In the end, I think I'll keep the stroller in the box and think on it. There will likely be more trips to BRU in the future.

QOTW: So far, we've not been given much advice as we've been fairly low key about announcements.

  • Got to see my baby boy yesterda at the 20 week appt this week. He was busy moving around and sucking his thumb. Fun to watch

My placenta is lying low right now, but not covering opening or anything, so doctor is hopeful that it could fix itself with time. If not, I might need to get a c section when it comes time to give birth. I also finally was given the referral for MFM which I appreciate for extra monitoring.

Personally, more appts due to my age are better. I would personally get treated like an "old lady" by my doctor than have a doctor who doesn't recognize prgnancy is different at 41 vs 21... Anyhow, glad I get to go see MFM.

QOTW: None really. People are busy being exciteed and supportive so haven't really had any neggative experiences yet
