How did your fur baby react to having a new member of the family? It makes me a little nervous to think about our pup no longer being the center of attention. Do they get used to it? Love the LOs? Ever had any problems mixing the family?
I have not yet had a baby, but I am currently listening to a very informative podcast called Pregtastic. There is an entire episode about this topic. It is episode 50- Your newborn and your pets.
I have listened to this episode in particular twice (once with DH) and it really helped us a lot as we have 2 high energy chihuahuas.
I believe there aren't any new podcasts, but there are about 200 of them to sift through- here is their website https://www.pregtastic.com/
I have a labradoodle who was like 1.5 when DD was born. That first night home from the hospital he walked around our room harumphing because he couldn't sleep because of the baby. After that he slept through the crying. He was a huge comfort the first few weeks whenever she cried and I needed to cuddle.
He does get less attention from DH and I but now we have 2 kids who chase him around and play with him all day. He loves it. As long as they don't try to ride him they all get along.
I also have a heeler! Sweetest love bug ever, and has been great with my friends' kids, but not sure how he'll handle not having all of mommy's attention. He'll start whining if I'm looking at my phone and not him. Seriously.

@createmagic14 Ours do too! Especially when it's homework crunch time and DH and I are at our computers! Seriously, I used to think that was just a cat thing, NOT!
