NBR: Real Estate Vent!

We have accepted an offer on our house (Yaaay!) and so we have really cracked down on looking at potential new homes. We found one that we absolutely fell in LOVE with. It needs a ton of work, but work we can handle and it was good enough to live in while we fixed it up. We put in a FULL PRICE offer with the contingency that it passes an FHA inspection. And so we waited to hear.

We heard today. No. No inspections. None whatsoever. WTF people?! This effing house has been on the market for over 4 years, the price has been dropped considerably, what the everlovingfuck is hiding in it that they wont go for any inspections?! I know we have dodged a bullet, but I'm so sad! I loved this house, its setting, EVERYTHING! Some one call me a Whaaa-ambulance

    That is so frustrating! We just bought a new house last year and it was such an irritating experience.

    I know I shouldn't have gotten attached *sigh* Lol, easy to say, so hard for me to do! Fortunately if we don't find a place before the closing date for selling our current home, we have a house lined up to rent. We also have two vacation houses that are reasonably close to my husbands work that we could stay at.

    So now I'm back to searching the Maine state listings :) Lol, not like much of anything has changed in the 24hrs since I last looked at it!

    We looked at a bunch of foreclosures and have never had this problem.  Bummer, but the right house is out there waiting for you!

    Could it be the because you will have an FHA loan? I don't have any personal experience but have heard they are very picky about things being perfect with the house.

    @MaineMama I soooo feel your pain I have been house hunting with no luck for 2 years so I know the frustation but the market is really terrible at the moment. Bank owned, short sales and forclosures are just as bad as regualr listing now b/c the market has slim pickings they know they don't have to sell themselves short now on those kinds of sales :-( hope the market changes SOON for both our sakes.
