How much BM does/did you 4.5-5 month old drink ever 3 hours?

My LO's daycare does paced feeding and they've been great with him! He will be 5 months in a few days and they've just asked me to up his bottled to 5 oz each every 3 hours. He's fairly big for his age and nurses around the clock when i'm home so I don't doubt that he's actually hungry. I'm just wondering if this is really unusual or normal for this age group. He's also just started solids and he doesn't drink any less (if anything, he seems to drink more and nurses before and after solids). Thanks!

    Thanks for the replies and for catching my error! I can't seem to figure out how to fix it.

    He is in daycare from about 8 to 5:30 or so and has a 4.5oz  bottle 3 times a day plus solids in between bottle two and three.

    He's a fairly big boy too... people always think he's a month or two older than he is bc of his size.

    DD never drank more than about 3.5oz at a time, but she also ate every 2-2.5 hours at that point. Is there a reason they are waiting 3 hours? I will also add that even at 13m, she is kind of a lanky kid who is more of a snacker than a real meal-eater (she tends to eat one "big" meal a day, and then small stuff), so my experience probably isn't totally comparable :)

    (ETA - at this point, she was eating about 12oz/day while with the babysitter - which for us was 4 3oz bottles).

    Since we put him in DC @ 3 mn LO drinks 4 oz every 2-3 hours. Sometimes my mom over fills the bottles to about 5 oz and sometimes he drinks it all and sometimes wastes an oz.

    Thanks everyone! I'm going to see if he'll be content going back to 4.5 in about a week. Maybe he's just in a growth spurt. He's a generally hungry baby. Hopefully I can keep me supply up enough to get 15 oz a day... it seems to hover between 15 and 18 oz. thanks!

    Thanks for all the feedback everyone! I've increased to 5 oz and the daycare says he's much happier. He's the kind of baby that lets you know the minute he feels hungry using a really high pitched squeel that sounds like a siren... so it's pretty easy to know when he's hungry and when he's happy :)

    My oversupply seems to be regulating so between his increase and my decrease, i'm not able to put away any or much in the freezer anymore. That scares me a bit but hopefully i'll level out at the amount he needs!
