Formula checks

Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Every time I try to use them at the grocery store or Wal mart, it turns into a huge fiasco. The cashier look like a deer in headlights when I give them the checks, then goes and finds a manager and they wrestle with the checks and the register while all the people in line behind me start to lose their patience. They eventually end up just deducting the amount of the check from the price. And then some place the cashier will read every line of check over and over to find a loophole. Yesterday, after the cashier started reading the check for the 10th time I took them from her and said I would use them somewhere else. WHY oh why is this such a PITA. I am starting the feel like the only person on earth that tries to use them.

Tell them they have to process it like a check. They are probably trying to use it as a coupon

Yeah it's processed as a check. Target is always good at them.

Target takes mine with no problems! Does anyone know if you can get away with using two at a time? I know the fine print says no, but would the register deny using two if the cashier didn't notice?
