Re: **Wednesday Ticker Change**

  • @pink021 congrats!!

classicstar28 thank you for the check in!

How far along are you? 5 weeks

How are you feeling? Symptoms? My main symptom is still fatigue, it is starting to let up a bit now and then, but mostly I am tired all day long. I have not been sleeping as well the last few days though, so that had not helped! My brain just seems to be in overdrive and thinking about the most random things. I have cramping and stretching going on, which causes me to worry, but I know it is natural.

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for? Still waiting for my next appointment on 8/4. It really does seem like forever way!

GTKY: What is your go to morning drink/breakfast item?
I love water, so I start out with water every morning. I also drink a protein shake for breakfast.

  • @classicstar28 thanks for the post, I love these updates :)

How far along are you? Seven weeks today!

How are you feeling? Symptoms? Feeling pretty good. Occasional fatigue, sore boobs, some nausea in afternoons/evenings, acne, and insomnia.

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for? First doctor's appt is tomorrow morning, should have a dating ultrasound. There is a possibility that I may actually be 11 weeks instead of 7 weeks - so I am very curious about the u/s results!

GTKY: What is your go to morning drink/breakfast item? I love coffee, so I enjoy my one cup per day in the morning, and then a green smoothie to get some fruits and veggies in me.

  • Wow so many great updates! Congrats to @Pink021‌!
    How far along are you?
22 weeks!!! I am officially the most pregnant I have ever been. Bring in the happy dance mixed in with some anxiety!

    How are you feeling? Symptoms?
Well sleeping has become a thing of the past. Between having to get up to pee, beginning hungry, and then him moving around constantly. We are also on vacation so it's harder to sleep in beds your not used to. The good thing is his movements are getting to be more and my appetite is coming back. I haven't taken my nausea meds for the past week so I thinking I might be over that hurdle. Fx!

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for?
I have an ob appointment Tuesday. Then my best friend, who is just shy of of 6weeks ahead of me, and I have 3d ultrasounds schedule for august 2nd. It will be neat to see the difference between her little ones scan to my scan of Riley. It will also be nice to see him again and see how he has grown!

GTKY: What is your go to morning drink/breakfast item? My go to breakfast is usually something I can pop in the toaster at work. So I can make it quickly and eat it while sitting at my desk. Most of the time it's bagels or pop tarts.

  • @maryhr1 I'm so glad your appointment went well!  The stretches between appointments can be pretty rough.  We're here for you, though!  Hopefully the time will go by quickly and uneventfully.  I am a huge tea drinker.  I usually have between 3 and 4 cups a day.  I love Irish breakfast, but I drink constant comment too!

@5099peperk Welcome to Wednesday!  Sleep can be an elusive thing, it seems.  Have you tried anything to help with the brain overdrive?  Sometimes if I write down my thoughts it helps me to let them go long enough to get to sleep.  Sometimes I just go with it and read until I can't stay awake any longer (the next day usually sucks, but I tend to go to sleep easier the next night).  I'm sure others have some ideas as well.  And yes, the stretching and cramping can be scary.  There were times I felt sure I was bleeding, but everything was fine.

@carlsonbaby2014 The hip and joint pain is the worst! Mine has gotten better recently.  I sleep with three pillows.  A big fluffy one for my head, a flatter one under my shoulders, and then one long ways to support my bump and knees.  So far it's been working.  I still have to switch sides every few hours, but at least I'm not waking up in horrible pain.  Hopefully your new bed will help!  Yay for your for MW appointment!  So exciting!  I also like to start my day with carbs and protein.  I eat fruits and veggies for my snacks throughout the day.

@RN536 Woohoo for almost half baked!!  I'm sorry your ribs have been hurting.  I haven't had that yet, but it doesn't sound fun.  I hear you on the Pgal brain from buying stuff.  Our nursery furniture (most of it anyway) is being delivered this week.  I'm completely freaked out that somehow having it here and hanging up the clothes we have gotten as gifts will jinx us.  It won't, of course, but I think it's normal to feel that way.

@mmheartspb Yay 2nd tri!!  I'm glad you are starting to feel better.  IBS is not fun even when not pregnant.  Hopefully that and the headaches will let up soon along with the rest of the ms!  Happy 7th anniversary!!  Enjoy the Melting Pot.  I love their chocolate fondue and the cheddar fondue.  FX the ms stays away for your dinner.  Btw, Lipton decaf black was the tea my mom made me growing up.  It's very comforting to me when I'm feeling sick or sad now as an adult.  But, I mostly drink breakfast teas, darjeeling, and Lady Gray.

@sugarpeas79 Welcome to Wednesday!  Good luck at your appointment tomorrow and keep us updated on the dating ultrasound!  My husband loves those green smoothie drinks.  Do you make them yourself?  DH usually buys them, but it would be cool if I learned to make them for him.

@whiteroses05 So happy for you getting to 22 weeks!  Yay!!  Vacation sounds nice, but I agree it's so much harder to sleep in a different bed.  FX you're done with the ms!  That's super cool that you're going to get the 3D ultrasound with your friend in a few weeks.  I have a friend who is about 7 weeks behind me and it's fun talking about our different symptoms and comparing sizes etc.

  • How far along are you? 26 weeks.  I can't believe I'm almost in 3rd tri!

How are you feeling? Symptoms?  I'm feeling ok.  I've actually been sleeping better and have had less hip pain.  No more bp issues, which is good.  Lilly has been moving more, but she is still not as consistent as my brain seems to want her to be.  I get freaked out if I don't feel her for more than a couple of hours.  I keep reminding myself that I won't get the consistency I want until 28 weeks, but it can be hard to stay calm when she's quite for a few hours.  The only real complaint I have is I'm having horrible mid back pain on the left side when I sit for more than 15-20 minutes.  I'm not sure what to do about it as support or trying different positions hasn't helped at all.  I think I just need a massage.

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for?  My next appointment is on the 21st.  I'll be meeting my new dr for the first time.  Hopefully we like her.  My mother loves her and says she's the best dr she's had, so that's good.  Saturday we are going to do our childbirth class.  I'm equally curious/excited about it and nervous.  It's a 6 hour class at the hospital and I am very much looking forward to actually seeing where I'll be giving birth.

GTKY: What is your go to morning drink/breakfast item?  I LOVE tea.  In fact, my husband and I are so into tea that we each have a bin in the pantry for our respective teas (he loves green and I love black) plus another bin for loose leaf.  It takes up an entire shelf.  That doesn't include our selection of Keurig teas either which take up half of another shelf.  We even promised to make each other tea in our wedding vows.  Seriously.  So, I usually have a couple cups of tea for breakfast plus some carb thing.  Waffles, muffins, cereal, etc.

sorry i'm late ladies!  i've been sick and yesterday was combination recovery and catch-up, so it totally slipped my mind to come check!

@classicstar - thanks for the check-in!  good luck meeting your new OB.  i love tea as well, and i'm a bit of a snob about it too, lol.  loose leaf is always my preferred way to drink it, although i have some herbal and darjeeling bags that i'm trying to use up.  i hope you can get some relief for your back pain.  almost 3T too!  i think you're the farthest along now, right?

    @pink021 - congratulations!!!

@maryhr1 - those appointments always feel so far away in the beginning.  hang in there!

@5099peperk - welcome to the check-in!  the fatigue is bad, and you've got a ways to go yet too.  :(

@carlsonbaby2014 - ooo good luck today at your appointment!  your go-to breakfast sounds delicious.

@RN536 - buying stuff can be a little nerve-wracking...all i bought was stuff for taking monthly belly pix and announcing publicly in a cutesy/pinteresty way, and THOSE made me nervous.  sweet deals you got though.

@mmheartspb - *fx* that you have a nice night out on monday!  happy anniversary!

@sugarpeas79 - welcome to the check-in!  i hope all went well at your appointment this morning!

@whiteroses05 - congrats on being the most pregnant you've ever been!  ;)  i hope you can get some better sleep.  good luck at your appointment on tuesday!

    How far along are you?
13w (well, 13w1d since i'm a day late.)  baby is a peach!  by some calculations i'm in the 2T now, but by others i'm not, so i'm not calling it till next week.

    How are you feeling? Symptoms?
still tired.  nausea has become even less frequent...so much so that i get wobbly and weak and shaky when my blood sugar is low now BEFORE i start feeling icky, so i've gone too long without eating the last couple days by accident.  we got our doppler over the weekend and i've listened every day except one since then (two, if you count today).  plus i started feeling very faint flutters for sure this morning, no mistaking what it was, since this isn't my first rodeo.  that was cool.  i was 14.5ish weeks with DS when i felt him for the first time, so 13w isn't insane i don't think.

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for?
wednesday (the 16th) at 1:30 CT is my next appointment.  PgAL brain has been super-kind to me, especially with the arrival of the doppler, so i think i'm good on T&P.  i actually had a tummy bug earlier this week, and being able to call up that lovely sound on the doppler reassured me enough that i never felt the urge to start googling my symptoms and convince myself that i had listeria from pulling a couple weeds or eating an over-easy egg.

GTKY: What is your go to morning drink/breakfast item?
lately it's been just a bowl of cereal...plain rice chex with a little honey drizzled on it, with 1% milk.  occasionally it's a couple fried eggs with GF toast and some yogurt.  i used to love coffee in the morning, but then i started having reflux issues (this is years ago) such that i can have decaf a couple mornings a week or tea, but not every day.  usually i like to save tea for an afternoon zen kind of thing though.  i <3 tea.

    edit: messed up a tag.

  • @longcat07 - yay for getting the doppler AND feeling movement!!!  I've really enjoyed having mine - it made the time between appointments easier to navigate :).  I hope you're back to 100% from your stomach bug in no time :).

  • @longcat07 I think I am the furthest along now.  Crazy!  Feeling shaky and weak doesn't sound fun, but at least the nausea is letting up!  Having the doppler and feeling movement must be great for keeping pgal brain at bay.  Sometimes I wish I had gotten a doppler so I could check on Lilly when she has her quiet days.  Rice chex with a bit of honey sounds REALLY good actually.  I love having a bowl of cereal even just as a snack.
