DD #2 has been doing great at the school with going on the potty...she's 2.5. I want to get her trained and be done with diapers but I feel like I have no time! I work full-time and at night by the time we all get home and do dinner, bath etc. its bedtime and I don't even think to ask her about the potty
I just don't feel like I have the time to dedicate that I did when I only had one child. I know I need to make time but its just frustrating me.....

DD will be 2.5 in a couple of months, and I know she's ready for potty training because she tells me when she needs to go about 60% of the time (usually a few seconds after she's gone). I feel like I just haven't had the time to get on it properly, and at this point, I feel like diapers are hindering her ability to understand what happens when she pees herself. Whenever she is in the bath, or in a pool without a normal diaper, she will tell me she needs to pee, whereas, if she's in a diaper, she may not tell me at all. If I can get her in underwear, I think she'll pick up on it quickly, but I can't confuse her by putting her in diapers for daycare and underwear at home, and my daycare isn't going to put up with her peeing all over the place... accidents are okay of course, but she needs to be able to understand to use the potty to some extent.
I have a week off the first week of August, and I've decided that I'm going to take DD out of daycare that week, and potty train her then. I've had a lot of friends who have been very successful with the whole "3-day potty training" thing, and I'm hoping this will work out well for DD too. I realize it will take more than 3 days, but most of my friends had their kids down to only a few accidents a week after a few days and many of them were younger than DD. I likely won't have her fully trained in a week, but I think it will be a good start, enough to get her out of diapers for everything other than sleeping.
I'm struggling all the time with not having enough hours in the day, and we only have DD!
