Best stretch cream?

Hi everyone,

New member here! Excpeting out first child together (I have a 12 year old step daughter).

I am 4 months pregnant and finally started to get a little bump which had me thinking about stretch mark cream. What is the best to use and when should I start applying?

Thanks :)

Re: Best stretch cream?

  • Thank you for the advice :) Staying hydrated is a challenge seeing how I have to pee all of the time so it makes me want to drink less water lol

  • Yeah yikes is right. Thanks for your nice comment. Makes someone feel really good about joining this board yesterday.
  • Thank you Nicb13, I will check out the Palmers, I've heard good things about it!
  • I'm using Burt's Bees belly butter. I paid $12.99 for the tub and it's lasted me from 8 weeks through now at 16 weeks. I will probably get a few more weeks out of it, so definitely worth the money. It's thick, but not greasy. Like others said, it won't prevent stretch marks, but it will help with itching later on which is really irritating to your skin.

  • Oh I didn't know Burt's Bee's made one! I think I'll try that one, I love their products and they don't test on animals which is a bonus :) Thanks!
  • I use The Body Shop's Shea Body Butter, which I used pre-pregnancy as well. It's not greasy, it lasts a long time, and doesn't have a strong or distinctive scent.

In comparison to the Mama Mio Tummy Rub Stretch Mark Butter, which I've also tried and is nice (my sister had some leftover from her last pregnancy, which she gave to me), The Body Shop cream is much less expensive, comes in a larger quantity, and lasts so much longer, even though it's not specifically a stretch mark cream.
