After 3 full days of pre-labor last week and then it stalling completely miss Harper decided to show up today 7/8. My water broke at home around 9:00 last night which was a whole new experience for me. We headed to the hospital and only managed to progress from a 4 to 4.5 by 7:00 in the morning and no change in effacment. We started pitocin then and it was definately effective. By 3:00 I was ready to push. We did a few practice pushes and she crowned. My OB told me to hang on and she turned to put her gown on and they made the call for the rest of the nurses but Harper decided it was time to come out:) my OB got turned around with nothing ready just in time to help her out. She is doing great and is just a peanut just like her siblings were. 6lb 3oz 19 1/2 inches long.
