Let's talk about poop

Since it's pretty dead around here these days, why not? Anyone else's LO experience a change in poop routine around the 4-5 month mark? DD used to be a 2-3/day pooper and is now about every third day. This is w/o any diet changes. She used to always be a "poops while she eats" kinda gal (EBF) but now she's a "strains and grunts" while she eats kinda gal. I know it's normal to go a few days w/o a BM and it's normal for babies poop routines to change as their needs do, just curious how common it really is around this age.

Yeah, as DD got older, she stopped having daily bowel movements. It was maybe every 2-3 days, but it was usually a very big one! Now that she's had solids for a few weeks, we're seeing some straining when she has to go and it's mostly solid in the diaper.

She used to have 2-3 every day and then changed to having 1 every morning (as we leave for daycare of course). We started a little bit of purées last we eek and ever since she's been having 2 huge ones back to back every other day. It's been fun LOL

DD has never pooped every day, more like every 3-5 days with Pedi says is fine since she is EBF. DH and I joke that we can tell it will be a poop day when we wake up based on what mood DD is in. She is alwasy super cranky in the am when she has a poop brewing.

We EBF and Brennon poops 2-4 times a day. Every day. I think we have had two 1 poop days since he was born.

We are mostly every day, sometimes every other day. This is the same as she's been since we started her on formula full time at 3 weeks old. She does have to strain to poop and sometimes gives up before she poops or even finishes pooping, so we regularly add pears and prunes to her diet to keep things moving easily.

Adam is a poop at least once a day kind of guy. Since we have started solids, he has spaced it out a few times though. We are getting more straining and grunting before "the demons are released" (DH's term).

E has never been regular. She poops about every 7-9 days.

This was Adalyn until a few weeks ago. Only normal as their needs/bodies change.

DS just changed about a week ago. He was pooping 1-2X daily, now 1X every 2 days. We did start a few purees about a week ago, so I think that has more to do with the change than his age though.

DS has been incredibly constipated lately. We've tried prunes, peaches, pears and all that jazz. Got pretty reliant on karo to get him to go at all. When he did it was really hard and hurt him (he would cry). So the pedi just had us start him on a bit of miralax. Hoping it helps!

DD has some unresolved tummy issues (finally getting to see the GI specialist next week!) so she isn't regular. When she feels good she goes once a day but then it will go to every 2 - 4 days, which really isn't a long time but it seems to bother her if she doesn't go every day.
