Sicky baby :(

What we thought was a cough from reflux last week morphed into bronchiolitis (baby bronchitis) over the weekend. We thought something was brewing, but I don't think either of us thought we'd be getting a chest X-ray and needing a nebulizer! The stress at our house is pretty high, and sleep levels are pretty low. Anyone else dealing with baby's first sickness? How are you holding up?

I am sorry. It's always hard to see your baby sick especially when they are so young! Is she home or in the hospital? I hope baby feels better soon!

Dd was in the hospital when she was 2 weeks old for a fever. She was on IV fluids and IV antibiotics. We were in the hospital for 4 days, it was very stressful and sad. It was also difficult because I didn't really see DS during that time frame, I didn't want him up at the hospital.

That stinks:( my LO caught a cold from her brother at 4 weeks which was no fun. I feel for ya! PS- my son had to have neb treatments a lot when he was a baby and something I learned very quickly is that the medicine stimulated him and he slept terribly or very restlessly after. So if your babe seems wired after the treatments might be that!

We had an unexplained baby fever at 8 weeks and were admitted for 24 hours

worste day of my life as the inexperienced nurse that took 45 min to get blood from my wailing munchkin contaminated the blood collected w bacteria from her skin which caused the hospital stay because they had to make sure it was skin bacteria And not something more serious like meningitis! Truly heartbreaking experience. Thank god she's ok. Prayers for your lo

Because he's only two months they had to do blood work and a urine test, requiring a catheter. His blood came back with high white blood count so he had an LP. I thought I was gonna lose it. Now they are monitoring him until tomorrow (48 hours total) to make sure all tests come back normal. It's the worst thing I've ever gone through. Hang in there mama.

S has his first ear infection, along with some sort of congestion bacteria or virus to go along with it.

Our LO got a horrible stomach virus at 5 weeks. He was hospitalized 4 days. His fever was 103+, and when it's that high they have an automatic IV antibiotic, cultures, UA, spinal protocol. It was horrible. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. He had diarrhea and would throw up. To make matters worse, DH and I ended up sick too. It'll pass though, and your LO will be back to himself.
