How are you doing today? Do you have anything to brag or complain about?

What is your favorite grocery store? Is it where you usually get to do your weekly shopping?

  • How are you doing today? Do you have anything to brag or complain about?  First day back to work after a 5 day weekend, so I'm pretty excited to have a normal routine.  At least when I get home and am exhausted I will feel ok about it.  This whole no energy thing is ridiculous.   I had my 25 week appointment yesterday and baby is measuring great and her heart beat really is the most wonderful sound in the world!

What is your favorite grocery store? Is it where you usually get to do your weekly shopping?  Giant is my favorite grocery store.  I'm there usually 2 times a week.  I'm getting pretty good at shopping their weekly ads and now I am getting about a dollar off per gallon of gas (rewards program).  I usually save about 20% per shopping trip.  NOw if I could just get into couponing...

  • Nothing much to brag about ... Fingers crossed that my dizziness/blacking out is going to go away now that I am on iron supplements.

Fav Grocery Store: Market Basket if it weren't so darn crowded!!!!! I usually shop at the local Big Y which is super expensive but oh well convenience...

Doing pretty good. Finally starting to find sleep again after last week's frustrating uncomfortable bout of sleepless nights. DH and I are also organizing all the big purchases we have to/would like to do before the baby comes (redoing the kitchen, some outdoor work, new car) and are trying to see what is financially feasible for us.

What is your favorite grocery store? Is it where you usually get to do your weekly shopping?
We go between Hannaford for the majority of groceries and local farmer's markets (for eggs, local poultry, seasonal organic produce, bulk nuts/seeds, etc...).

  • Sitting here waiting to get my blood drawn. Other than that I was having back pain its slowly going away. I may go pick out paint for the los room today.

I usually go to giant but prefer wegmans but it takes half an hour to get there.

  • Doing fine today.  LO is super active, which is great, but I wish he'd stop kicking my colon!

Wegmans is my favorite grocery store, and we probably do 95% of our grocery shopping there.  It's amazing!  During the summer/fall, we get a lot of produce from the farmer's market or from our yard.

  • I'm tired!  I haven't been sleeping well for the last few nights and I feel like I'm super cranky to DH (poor dude).  I have a doctor's appointment today, so hopefully everything is on track!

I do most of my grocery shopping at Kroger...their prices are the lowest and I like their store brand stuff.  Giant Eagle has a huge Market District store down the street which is really nice if I ever need/want specialty stuff (they have EVERYTHING), but it's always crowded and slightly more pricy.

  • Happy Tuesday!
Doing well today. Yesterday LO gave me a scare and didn't move much for 18 hours. She started up again and hasn't stopped since. I'm just incredibly grateful at this point.

What is your favorite grocery store? I shop at 4 stores. A produce store, because they have the most variety and lowest prices....target for other grocery items...and a local grocery store chain for meat and last minute things. Then there is trader joes for specific items, every 2-3 weeks. I am at a grocery store 4 times/week.

I have a complaint :( my feet and legs are swelling and so uncomfortable at work (I work 8hrs on my feet with two 15 minute breaks) there is a lot of moving around which is making me cramp a lot lately. I sometimes need to stop in my tracks because it's so bad. Also, I started throwing up again :(. I go shopping at all different grocery stores, don't really have a favourite.
  • Not much to brag about today.  I am feeling really good despite the fact that this is my first day back in the office after near a week off.  My new boss starts this week, and I am pretty excited about it. I feel like a kid on the first day of school (I was always excited for that) I feel like I am excited about work again for the first time in months!  I am also excited because we have our hospital tour this week and 3D/4D ultra sound on Saturday :)

My favorite store: Pick'N'Save.  Always default to this, but trying to expand my horizons here lately :) shopping more at Walmart lately since prices are WAY better.

  • I am in the last hour of my glucose test. Daydreaming about over easy eggs and a bagel.

I used to get my produce delivered by a local farm, but decided to start going to the farmer's market instead. I do the rest of my shopping at Safeway, but if I am in my old neighborhood, I go to this European market that is really inexpensive and has an excellent selection of cheeses.

I am really tired today. I can't wait until the weekend so I can finally sleep in and relax a bit. My only major complaints today are moving related- I am thankful to have everything mostly unpacked, but it's the last few pesky boxes that always seem the hardest. Wahhh.

What is your favorite grocery store? Is it where you usually get to do your weekly shopping?
I don't have one here yet- it was King Soopers in CO & Hy Vee in IA...they are building Hy Vees here, but I'm not sure when they'll open! I love Whole Foods too, but I don't do my weekly shopping there because I'm not trying to spend my entire paycheck on a loaf of bread.

  • How are you doing today? Do you have anything to brag or complain about? I've got a burst of energy today. Must've been last nights extra curricular activities. I've been feeling pretty down on myself lately. Just crazy emotions. I tried looking for more maternity pants this weekend and it made me cry. Then I proceeded to tell my mom I look like a frog...it wasn't my best moment.

What is your favorite grocery store? Is it where you usually get to do your weekly shopping? We have one grocery store. It's a Shur-Fine brand. I'm in a small town so not a lot of choices as far as that goes. I wish we had a Wegmans! That grocery store is awesome!

I'm a little tired today, but it's surprisingly not too bad considering that I worked from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm yesterday, got up to pee three times during the night, and kept having vivid nightmares. On a positive note, my appetite is somewhat back after taking a few weeks off duing a nasty bout of gastroparesis. My new medication seems to be helping!

I primarily shop at Publix. It's definitely my favorite regular grocery store, and there's one two blocks from my house. I also go to Whole Foods, The Fresh Market, and a local natural foods store once in a while for specialty items. We got a Trader Joe's here a few months ago, but the parking is miserable, so I still have not been.

  • I'm doing pretty good. Had my checkup yesterday and I'm only up 13 lbs (I was a little over weight to start). I was getting worried bc some of maternity clothes are getting snug but I guess I'm just gonna have to size up.

Complaint... I cannot keep my eyes open after dinner! H gets home around 7, we eat dinner and I'm asleep on the couch by 8. I feel so bad bc we don't really get much quality time together during the week and he's basically just watching me sleep. I kept apologizing but he insist that he doesn't mind bc he knows I need the rest to grow his little peanut!

I shop around for the best price. There are probably 4 different grocery stores I use regularly plus SAMs club for bulk things.
  • Hello little love muffins.

I had a good checkup today and my ultrasound is scheduled for three weeks from now, plus glucose check and rhogam shot. Excited for the ultrasound at least! Today's checkup went well. Baby girl is head down. I don't really have any more room for her to go upward, so it looks like it's all out from here.

Grocery stores, huh? Is it just me, or are we scraping at the bottom of the barrel here? No offense. I'm not trying to be mean. I probably couldn't think of a better GTKY. We have a very limited selection of stores here in southeastern NM and any other option is three hours away. I visit Albertson's, a local place, Wal-Mart (kill me), and SAM's. We also get Bountiful Baskets here so sometimes I sign up for one of those. No farmer's market really.

  • @MrsBabe614 I'm sure you are not a frog, but I know what you mean. I have started thinking of myself as a little elephant.

@TheOtherJacobsons I am very jealous of your grocery shopping selections. "Oh just this little European market with great cheeses." I'd kill for that!

I forgot to add that I am on a major Dorito's kick and this is very much not good at all.

@jlz32185‌ I'm right there with ya! Sometimes I don't even make it to dinner, I'm so tired when I get home from work. Which means frozen pizza for him and a me snoring on the couch next to him for a few hours until he helps me get up the stairs in into bed!

As far as complaints go, my boss is really starting to get on my nerves. Today, after talking about how long I was planning to take maternity leave, she asks me if I plan to breast feed. When I said yes, she told me that is wasn't necessary for me to breastfeed longer than 2 months, and that I "didn't want to try and pump while working" because it would be a hassle for me. Um... Sounds a lot like you're telling me that you're not going to support me pumping at work. Fortunately for me, I'm not entirely sure I'll be returning to work at all.

As for grocery stores, I was on vacation last week, and the market down south was called Rouss's, and they were so super nice there! Granted they get flooded with out of towers every weekend, so they have to have the patience of Job, but still, I loved them!

@Saragoeswest‌ Yeah, there may be a little of this going through my brain some mornings: "Ugh, not another stupid day of stupid thinking up another stupid GTKY question. Quick, now! What do I see on my way to work that's commonplace enough for everyone to have something, no matter how banal, to say about it."

  • @MrsL2B‌ I applaud your efforts!

  • @Saragoeswest Thanks :-) you are definitely not an elephant! Also, now I want Doritos...
