August Mommas

This check-in is for mommas who lost a baby due in the month of August (any year), and any late loss mommas who gave birth and lost their precious angel in August.

Hello August Ladies! Thanks for the checkin @mara005! Yes, AF arrived--irritatingly a day late, so today I begin 5 days of Clomid for the first time. I'm really nervous about side effects. On another note I introduced myself to the big board. Now you will see more posts from me! We are living for 2 weeks without a counter, sink or dishwasher in the kitchen while our marble counter is cut--it's a lot like camping! QOTW. I love my garden-- I grow my vegetables from seed. Also I like to flip furniture--just for us, haven't really sold any. I used to draw and paint but I have less time for that now.

CD1 :P
We had an enjoyable 4th of July, although I did end up cancelling the pup's stay and paying a late cancel fee because I botched the drop-off date. Whoopsies. But, we ate pancakes, watched soccer and went to the pool. It was nice.

@sfazar I know it's only day 1 but how is the clomid treating you? Gardening is a favorite of mine as well, I can see so may green tomatoes, I can't wait for them to be ripe!

@NoeliaV ((hugs)) for CD1 I'm right there with you. I LOVED baby wearing DS, I think when we go hiking this summer I will bring something just in case, even though he is 4.

@mara005--That's so lovely to have a fellow gardener in the group. I had the most delicious cherry tomato ever yesterday--just one! And today I found a cucumber that had gone unnoticed and is 14 inches long. It probably drank the water of all of the others, and that's why they're so small! Share notes on your garden please! I am in the Northeast.

Clomid day 1 is ok so far. I have not become a monster yet, so I am hopeful that the side effects won't be too bad.

I'm pretty much with you and @NoeliaV at the beginning of the cycle. It's just day 5 for me. Feels like I have a long way to go! But I am hoping that the Clomid makes this cycle shorter than some of my others.

Hi ladies. I enjoyed my two days visiting with my bff over the 4th, and yet I didn't get to talk much with her about the end of our ttc journey because of either others or her kids being around so part of me feels I, idk got shafted that we can talk about all of life but the most important life altering part of what's recently happened to me. Hard to explain but all I got in was her asking "so what's next?" And me saying "nothing. We're done." Then her oldest interrupted. Not that it needed lots of discussion. Just something more. I don't know, I'm rambling. But it was still good, just slightly unfulfilling in that emotional need area.

My fav hobby? Hmmm. Reading or photography. I used to scrapbook but now I seem to only pull that out once a year.

@sfazar‌ only clomid side effects I ever got (aside from thinned lining) was headaches and minor hot flashes at night. Fx for you.

@NoeliaV‌ sorry for cd1, but sounds like you had a relaxing weekend.

And how about you @mara005‌ ? How are you doing?

Hi @katib77, I'm so sorry that your time with you BFF wasn't the emotionally fulfilling experience you needed. I totally feel for you. Maybe you can go visit her for a little break or long weekend and have some dedicated girl time?

Thank you for sharing your Clomid experiences! I've never had a hot flash--who knows whether I will recognize it?!
