Needing some maternity dress inspiration =)

So my baby shower is in a month and I already feel kind of gross. Rationally, my bump is actually pretty cute, but I don't feel cute. I am already pretty uncomfortable being the center of attention, and I just want to feel pretty and cool (please pregnancy gods let me not feel dizzy on baby shower day).

Oh and I don't want to spend too much money on a dress I will wear once or twice... Yeah I am not particular at all.

What are you ladies eyeing for cute dresses either for your baby shower or just other fun events? PIP and links are GREATLY appreciated

I really like some of the dresses from PinkBlush and have been really happy with the quality and prices there, also motherhood maternity has some cute dresses. I like this one so far.

I have this dress from Motherhood Maternity and I adore it! It makes my bump look adorable and yet doesn't show off all the other flub that I have (I was over weight before getting pg). I love that it's cute for going out, but not so fancy that I couldn't just wear it whenever

@Mrstinmke That first one looks like what Ariel wore after she got her legs and wrapped that sheet/sail thing around her with a rope! But in a good way if that makes sense. So pretty! The second one would definitely be good for work too! Good point! And coordinating.

I LOVE that dress! I wish I had somewhere fancy to go at some point during this pregnancy to justify getting it.

Omg in love. Might have to buy that one. Yeah baby doesn't need a bow but it isn't as obnoxious as I was expecting.

I went dress shopping a few days ago. Motherhood had a lot of dresses on their sale rack so if you have one nearby I would recommend that. I must of tried over 10 dresses and felt like a whale in all of them except one. I also had a serious boob problem since they have gotten really big and pop out of most dresses so that wasn't flattering. I am posting the link below. This dress was more slimming I think because of the angle of the stripes at the bottom. Also the top part did a great job hiding the cleavage problem. It looks darker in the picture but I think the white stands out too on the actual dress.

But ZOMG, you could totally wear a blue bow if its a boy and a pink bow if it's a girl - what a cute gender reveal idear!!!!!!

@SPurp13‌ I would go try that dress on first if you can. I really liked the dress and went and tried it on then didn't like it so much. The issue was the fabric wasn't all that stretchy and my boobs were really uncomfortable because they have gotten so big so I just felt frumpy. It's a really cute dress if you can pull it off. I think I just got a little too big in the wrong place for it.

@Leysin97 I actually have it. It's sort of too big at this point, but I got a Large, and I normally would have gotten a dress in a Medium or so (I was, at one point, but will never ever be again after this baby, a size 6). I got it like waaaaay back at 16 weeks or so, thinking I'd wear it this past weekend to a wedding. Hopefully I'll fill it out in time for maternity photos (about a month from now) or my shower (August 23rd).

@SusieBW It's a girl, so the pink bow goes along with that theme, and I'm sure my mom would love for me to wear that dumb bow to the shower. If I do, I'm tying it in the back under a sweater so it just looks like a belt.

After buying myself a dress last week, I realized I have more dresses than I probably need. I'm pretty sure I could've done without the one I bought but it was just too cute and at the time I didn't realize how many I had, so I'm not returning it.

I got it at a super deal at ON for $12 on clearance and got tons of compliments the day I wore it. I wore a white short sleeve shirt underneath but it's cute as it is too.

I also have this one from Kohls:

I have others but couldn't find pics for them and I have a few from my previous pregnancy. I find that Motherhood and Kohl's usually have really cute stuff for not a lot of money.

I am a fan of the A-line wrap dress. The fabric is often a flowey jersey knit that is airy and comfortable. You can also get it in your normal not pregnancy size and it'll still fit well. Most of the dresses I wear are not maternity dresses. I get them at thrift stores, Ross, anywhere really.

I am also a fan of the gathered dress. I like an hour glass cut so that your size is not exaggerated by the drape of an A-line. The plus to this dress is that it is also a good one to get in a non maternity size. It will expand for your bump and still look great when you're no longer bumping.

This is a gathered dress I bought at Macy's for a wedding. You can't even see the gathering and it is a size 10 so I can wear it after the baby

I bought this one in blue and have worn it to work a few times! It's great. I've purchased quite a bit from Seraphine and have been a bit eh on most things, but the knot dress and tops are great.
