.... Like what does that even mean? Can't you just say congradulations ??
wooooow... that's just weird. I don't think I could have kept from being creepy and saying, "it's okay. I'm gonna raise him/her to be a serial killer. You know, to even it out."
You can also add, "You'll be the first to go." Lol
This is our third, so we usually get confused or disgusted remarks. My favorites..
"You know what causes that, right?!"
"Don't you own a tv?"
"Two boys already. Oh! You must be trying for a girl."
"Oh wow. You are going to... have your hands REALLY full. Are you ready for that?"
"Why?!"
@kdm06c This is my 5th pregnancy, and 4th living child, and I get the TV comment ALLLL the time! Lol, I just tell them that if they would rather watch TV they are doing it wrong
I have also gotten a lot of comments about having my own "Insert sport" team.
"There's nothing wrong with drugs during labor!!"....inserted into a conversation that had NOTHING to do with labor medications, and a bit offensive since it came from my aunt who pretty much knows I plan to go natural and who was always a bit snippy about my mom going natural with all 4 of her kids.
I really don't get why a woman's decisions in labor seem to get people so fired up sometimes (regardless of what the woman has chosen, seems there are critics either way!).
When we told DH's 93 year old grandpa he said, "But you just got a job!" He's been asking me for the past 4 years when we were having a kid and THAT is his first reaction? Haha
Nothing too crazy yet though, other than my pregnant SIL gasping when she saw me take a hot dog on July 4th.
My coworker laughed at me because I had bad morning sickness with this baby (6 weeks on the dot I was barfing everywhere and so smell sensitive), and she didn't have any with her baby. She said she felt bad but it was kind of funny. This is the kind of relationship we all have at the work place though, so I kind of laughed (not hard because I would have barfed) and glared at her for my whole first trimester.
At 8 weeks I had another person say "I can see your baby bump" and i was like.... no, NO YOU DON'T SEE MY BABY BUMP I AM BLOATED AND ACTUALLY DOWN 5 POUNDS.
And now that I kind of am showing my boss said "wow you're huge!!" and all I can think is... I'm barely showing, I am just a tiny bit bigger... I have gained 1 pound at this point.
Went to my sisters gender reveal party and everyone was saying "wow! You need to catch up!! You're so tiny!!!" when comparing our bumps T_______T I have no appetite most the time people!!! Try and gain weight when NOTHING sounds good!! I have always struggled with weight gain also.
"Are you going to breast feed? It turns me on seeing women do it." Random creepy guy.
Wow...now that's an argument against breastfeeding that might actually sway people. What a freakin' creepster!
Creeeeeeepy!
Yeah, I don't know if he was trying to be funny or what. But, creepy and immature regardless. It was at a Memorial Day BBQ and I was sitting with friends and he must be a friend of someone there and it was said. I had no words.
"Do you want some pickles?" x10848372728 times. Please people..stop asking if I want pickles. I just got done with 15 weeks of morning sickness. No I'm not craving anything, I just started eating solid food again. :-L
"You're due at Christmas?! Keep it in an extra day so the whole family can be there and you won't interrupt it." Umm sure..
