We had our 18 w appointment today (I'm 18w tomorrow but the doctor I wanted to see is only in on Mondays). We were really excited to find out the sex today since it should be visible on the U/S. Well, the baby was squirming around a lot and has a healthy heart rate of 143 bpm. Its pretty big :-) However, the cord was right where the genital area was located so he couldn't get a good look at it. We will have to wait until the 28th when our 2nd trimester screening and A/S are scheduled to find out the sex. I'm still glad we got to see our LO moving around in there, though. We are finally going to tell our extended family and friends this week :-)
