3rd Trimester

~Cashew's Mom~

How is your little one doing?  My SIL had her baby at 31w, Anna.  She just turned 1 on December 4th this year.  The first few weeks were really hard for them, the next couple months were better, and lately Mom and baby are both doing great.  Developmentally, Anna is a tiny bit slow compared to other babies her age, but she is catching up quickly.  Like, she is just starting to try to stand up and hold on to the coffee table, and other 1 year olds are walking on their own.  She's soooo freaking cute, and she seems really smart.

Have you had any big problems so far, or is everything pretty smooth?

  • Wow a preemie who is actually cute and smart? Who would have thought this possible?

  • As kind hearted as you tried to be in that post, I can only feel like you tried to underestimate me, in the fact that I have not researched preemies, and do not know what to expect.  As a matter of fact, he is right on schedule with other babies his age, and has no developmental issues.  Thanks for the concern.

  • Cashews--

Im sorry, I was genuinely trying to ask how you were doing.  I really didn't mean any offense.  I think you had your baby very early, right?  I thought about 30 weeks?  I remember cause you were on 2nd tri the same time as me.  I was just trying to share my sister's experience with you, and let you know that it gets easier as the months go by.  I sincerely hope that I didn't offend you or hurt your feelings.  I know from watching SIL that life with a preemie can be tough, and just wanted to conversate with you about it.

Again, honestly I'm very sorry if I hurt you in any way.  Not my intention.  I wasn't trying to insinuate that your baby was slow at all, and I really hope that you didn't read it that way.  Some people like to start drama out of nothing, I'm not one of those people.

  • Cashew- we all know Jen is a fvcktard, so i hope you ignore this. She obviously has no clue about children and the rate at which they develop. Soooo many one year olds are not walking yet. And, as far as preemies go, my nephew was born 3 months early and went through so much. He is now a perfect, well developed, independent, super smart four year old who lights up our lives. And he is quite handsome if i may so say myself!   enjoy Logan, and give him some snuggles from the rest of us!

I'm sorry that I didn't write it out better... I tried to PM you but it didn't work.  I'm sorry if my post sounded rude, I really didn't mean it like that.  that's great that he is right on track for his age, that's great news.  Again, I'm sorry, and i sincerely hope that I didn't offend you by asking, that was never my intention.

You still don't get it do you? The ASKING is not the problem. Its perfectly fine to ask about how someone and their child is doing. It was the assinine comments that followed and the implication that A. she does not know about the potential results of premature birth, and B. her son is slow.  Ugh

You are an idiot and NOTHING you say comes out right. I would take that as a sign and just STFU!
