DS had issues with mucusy green poop, reflux, and extreme fussiness starting at about 2 weeks. I had some issues with oversupply but block feeding seems to have helped. I cut out dairy and soy 5 weeks ago and eliminated wheat and eggs about 4 weeks ago. I added eggs back in recently. His fussiness is almost gone as of about 2 weeks ago but the poop issues remain. It will start to get better and then snap back to green and mucusy. I can't tell if it's related to diet or my variable supply. I wasn't too worried about it since his temperament is so much better, but at his 2mo checkup today they found blood in his stool (I've never seen it, just occult). The doc said it's likely something I'm eating. I have heard so many things (nuts, shellfish, chocolate, citrus, berries...) that could be culprits, but I wonder how many are actually known to be responsible for intolerance? He otherwise looks good, has good skin, and is growing and gaining well. I really want to stop the inflammation that's happening in his body, but I also think that a severely restrictive diet will be difficult to follow - I am already constantly starving! Any advice on where to go from here? The pediatrician said he'll likely grow out of it so not to worry too much, but I want to to what I can for the little guy while getting adequate nutrition.

Re: What foods really cause intolerance?
I can totally relate. I battled oversupply in the beginning (still do a bit) and DD2 had visible blood in her diapers at about 6w. I am currently dairy, soy, egg, nut, beef, corn, wheat and black bean free. It's really varies by baby so there is no specific foods to avoid and our journey has been trial and error so far. I would suggest avoiding the top 8 allergens (you've already removed 4) and watch for hidden dairy/soy. The diet is tough but you get used to it and can make it manageable. There's a weekly check-in (swap recipes, commiserate, or AW successes), if you're interested:

I think it can be any random food. A friend of mines baby reacted to bananas. A lot of it is trial and error. Keeping a food dairy and tracking his poop helped me a lot.
I know the guessing game isn't easy. I hope you can figure it out soon.
If I were you I think I would take eggs back out again for a little while, and see how that goes. Did she send you home with guaiac cards?
