  I was on Follistim and Menopur, but I am guessing the side effects are similar. I was fatigued, had a voracious appetite and my emotions were all over. That is all I remember. And of course the bloat later on. Once those follies get going, it can be quite uncomfortable. Best wishes for your co-worker!

  I've been on Bravelle, Menopur, and Gonal-F and I don't remember any side effects. The Menopur burned and the burn increased as the iu's increased, but if you go slow with the plung it isn't as bad. Good luck ton your coworker!

  I did Follistim and Menopur. Like PP's, I had tingling/pulling sensations in the ovary area. Fullness and bloating after a few days. I was a little hungrier than usual and I was shocked that emotionally I wasn't a mess.

  I have been on both and only thing I noticed was bloating and being on edge emotionally as well. 

  Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born. 

  6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

  10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

  A note on the Meno burning ... When I was doing 2 vials of each, I only did one shot and it didn't burn too badly. I didn't notice the burning until I was doing 4 of each and had to do 2 shots. I personally thought it burned less if I had 2 of each med in each shot rather than 4 of each individually. Maybe they counteract each other? Good luck to her!

  As PPs mentioned, Menopur does have a tendency to burn when it is being injected. If she keeps any of the diluting liquid in the fridge, or if she has refrigerated leftover amounts of Menopur, it is definitely worth it to let it come to room temperature before injecting it. Good luck to her!
