Two of my good friends just had babies within the past week and another one is due in a month. I want to bring them all something that is going to be helpful and appreciated. Someone brought me muffins which were great in the beginning. I would just grab one when I got hungry. I also was given a few good casseroles. What were some of the dishes that you were given when you had your LO? I don't want to make them all lasagne, but I'm not that creative. Any ideas?
Re: Food to bring a new Mama
anything one handed if you bf.. I found that people brought a lot of heavy food, and I wanted lots of fruit. But the dinners were helpful when dh got home. Through the day however I mostly snacked one handed.
Or sandwich makings. Good bread or rolls, good deli meat and assorted sliced cheeses. Maybe a couple of whole tomatoes and a head of romaine lettuce too.
I appreciated packaged "junk" snacks too, especially that first week as my milk came in and I was recovering from surgery. Things like cereal bars, granola bars, crackers, cookies, and bottled or canned drinks.
