I have the dumbest question yet...

But I'm still hoping to get an answer. I'm hopeless with hair, I'm a headband or ponytail kinda girl. However, I would like to try this on S, but I can not figure out how to do the elastic bands and the website that this pic belongs to doesn't explain how to do it. Does anyone know how to do this?

You pull a bit back and put on a band, add more hair to the tail and another band, and so on.
