Opinions on a pg woman at a smoke free bar?

ON NYE? Specifically a 30 weeks pregnant one?! My friend told me I should not be going out! I asked her why?  Are pregnant women not capable of going out and socializing?!  She told me I shouldn't be going to a bar!

Personally I think that is kind of ridiculous! If I feel good and want to go to a *smoke free* martini bar on NYE then I damn well will!

    i see nothing wrong with it.  your friend is silly for thinking you shouldn't be at a bar if there is no smoking!!! 

    screw it, go and start throwing back fake shots just to freak people out.  :)

    Totally ridiculous.  You should totally be able to go there.  Hell, I go to a bar that isn't smoke free yet, to watch football with DH.

    Reminds me of Knocked Up... "you're big pregnant, and you're old, you two should be at home, not trying to get into this bar!"  LOL

    If I saw one before I was pregnant I would have wondering wtf she was thinking, but considering I have been pregnant before and am pregnant now, as long as it is smoke free, who the heck cares!  :D

    If you feel good enough to be out and about with a bunch of drunkies, then why not?! I know, I wouldn't be able to do it, mainly because I am in so much pain. Are you going to be a rebel and have a few sips of a martini? Stick out tongue

    I think it just pisses me off that she is trying to tell me things I shouldn't be doing!

    I honestly can't think of a reason why you couldn't go. Maybe the chars are uncomfortable. I went to a bar and the stools hurt my back but come on... In fact it's the big joke at school because I organizee our monthly TGIF it's always at a bar and I'm the only one who doesn't drink (right now) In Ca all the bars are smoke free.

    It would not be my choice of the bar was super crowded. Plu s i know there is zero chance of me making it to midnight. But if you feel good, and you will be comfortable there, then why not go? You are pg, not dead! Go have fun, and enjoy yourself.......try not to crave a martini too badly!

    I know that I'd be annoyed with all of the drunk people, and the bathroom might be nasty, but there's definitely no reason you shouldn't go.

    Go and enjoy yourself!

    Word of warning, it's such a massive pain to navigate around a crowded bar while pregnant.  The 'turn sideways and squeeze in between groups of people thing' doesn't work!

    The dessert portion of my work's xmas party was in the bar area, and it took me FOREVER to get over to the bathroom!
